# A political figure from Ekwusigo LGA, Hon. Gerald Emenike has issued a strong warning, urging All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu to overhaul his campaign team or risk a disastrous outcome in the upcoming November 8 gubernatorial election.
Emenike, a staunch supporter of Ukachukwu, expressed concern that some individuals close to the APC candidate could undermine his chances if immediate changes are not made within his campaign structure.
This warning comes amid growing discontent within the campaign team. Some members, including journalists, have reportedly withdrawn from the ongoing local government tour due to what has been described as unpleasant treatment.
# Two hundred youths in Anambra State are to be trained on the Taenprowiz Fish Production Business System and Technology under the second phase of the ECOWAS Commission and the Fisheries and Aquaculture Value Chain Business Development Partnership, otherwise known as the Taenprowiz Production System and Technology Partnership Center, Anambra State
The training is anchored by FABDA with legs at the Adazi-Nnukwu Fish Production Village Business franchise and the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam.
The initiative, which is in line with the youth employability program of the ECOWAS Commission and aligned to the Youth friendly environment created by the Anambra State government, aimed at bringing youths into the agricultural businesses, involves the West Africa Secretariat for Ecological and Organic Agriculture (WASEOA) in this second phase, to coordinate some training Centers including the Taenprowiz Production System and Technology Partnership Center, Anambra State, Nigeria.
# MTN Nigeria has partnered with Anambra state government to distribute tablets to students in eleven Smart Schools across the state.
In a bid to enhance digital learning in Anambra State, the telecom giant donated 50 tablets to each of the schools for their libraries, bringing the total to 550 tablets.
The donation was officially handed over by the Anambra Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, alongside Prof. Nkechi Perpetua Ikediugwu, Chairman of PPSSC, and top executives of MTN Nigeria.
This initiative is part of the Smart Learn Anambra program, which aims to equip the youth with the necessary tools to succeed in a digital world. The partnership is a significant step towards bridging the digital divide and enhancing the learning experience for students in the state.
# The Anambra State Government is deeply saddened by the recent killing of innocent lives at Ogboji, Orumba South Local Government Area.
The state government through a press release signed by Anambra Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, condemns the act and extends its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
“We want to assure the good people of Anambra and beyond that this incident was not targeted at any particular state or ethnic group. Preliminary investigations suggest that the unfortunate incident may have stemmed from an internal squabble.
“The government expects the police command to conduct a thorough investigation, identify the perpetrators of this heinous crime, and bring them to justice. The government assures the people of Ogboji and the entire state that we will do everything humanly possible to ensure justice is served.
“We urge all residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies to ensure the perpetrators are apprehended. We will continue to work tirelessly to maintain peace and security in our great state”. Mefor stated.
# The Director, Technology Incubation Centre, (TIC) Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Austen Azubogu has urged the Federal and State Governments, as well as the organised private sector, to fund the commercial conversion of auto rickshaws popularly known as Keke Napep, from its present Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) to electric, as a solution to the problem of the intermediate public transportation system in Nigeria.
Prof. Azubogu made the call in a chat with newsmen in Awka.
The University Don believes that electrifying the petrol-powered Keke and deploying smart solar charge/swap stations for recharging the batteries will greatly reduce the cost of operating and using the intermediate public transportation services.
# The Talk Services Provider of Nigeria (TSPN), Njikoka Chapter, has paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Council, Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba, to formally brief him on the just-concluded TSPN summit which ended on Sunday. The delegation was led by the Njikoka Coordinator, Chioma Nwamah-Ahamefula JP.
During the meeting, the coordinator conveyed the outcome of the summit, where members of the association across Anambra State unanimously endorsed Mr. Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, for a second term as Governor of Anambra State. The endorsement was based on his visible achievements, leadership style, and developmental strides in the state.

# Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, has held its 10th Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) induction ceremony for graduating students of the institution.
The event, which took place at the college auditorium, officially certified about 925 newly trained teachers as qualified professionals, in line with TRCN standards.
In her welcome speech, the Provost of the College, Dr. Justina Anyadiegwu, expressed profound gratitude to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, and the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, for their unrelenting efforts in aligning the state’s educational programmes with global standards.

# The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has charged Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) across the country to intensify their efforts in ensuring credible and efficient electoral processes ahead of several key elections within the next year.
Speaking at the second quarterly consultative meeting with RECs in Abuja, the INEC Chairman reminded the officials that they are full-time public servants whose responsibilities begin long before general elections.
Prof. Yakubu urged them to implement INEC’s policies without waiting for directives from the headquarters charging them to be proactive, knowledgeable, and fully committed as election happens in their various states.
# The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has officially obtained the Out-of-Home Visual Campaign Political Permit from the Anambra State Signage & Advertisement Agency – ANSAA ahead of the Anambra State Governorship Election scheduled for November 8th, 2025.
Present at the permit handover was the MD of ANSAA, Odili Tony Ujubuonu, who handed over the permit to Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Special Adviser (Political) to the Governor of Anambra State Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo and a representative of the APGA government.
This Political Campaign Permit empowers APGA to begin deploying campaign materials and promotional activities across Anambra State, including posters, branded vehicles, public address systems, banners, fliers, and T-shirts used in street storms, rallies, and more in all 21 Local Government Areas of Anambra State.
