* The Chief Protocol to Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, and his Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr Chinedu Nwoye has expressed appreciation to the Governor of Anambra state for the quality of work going on at various road construction sites across the state. Nwoye made this known while speaking with report shortly after inspecting work on the over six kilometers Abagana-Nimo-Neni Road.
* The Traditional Ruler of Ukwulu Kingdom in Dunukofia local government area, HRM Igwe Peter Aniukwu Uyanwa has urged ndi-Anambra to report suspicious activities around them to the appropriate authorities, and not be afraid to speak out against those who are trying to undermine the state. Igwe Uyanwa made the disclosure while fielding questions from journalists in Awka. He urged the people to say something when they see something as part of support for the present administration, saying that running to the social media to talk does more harm than good.
* Relative peace is gradually returning to Isuaniocha community In Awka North local government area of Anambra state. Some women groups in their excitement while
donating food items such as rice, garri,dry fish, ogbono, egusi, tin tomatoes, maggi, among other food condiments to some security agents who were in the town for peace keeping mission, expressed some releave.
* Anambra State Commissioner for Women affairs, children and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo has described marriage as a sacred institution that needs to be respected. Speaking in Awka on checking Domestic Violence in the society, Mrs Obinabo who decried the high rate of domestic violence and divorce cases in the society charged Married couples to always respect, love and honour each other.
* Anambra State Commissioner for Health Dr. Ben Afam Obidike says hospitals in the state are improving every day because of the huge investments in the health sector. Obidike who stated this at a meeting of hospital heads held at the conference hall of the Ministry of Health, said apparently the dynamics are changing now because initially people patronised private health facilities but with the robust investments and innovations in the healthcare system facilitated by the present administration, the narrative is changing because people now access comprehensive healthcare in all government hospitals.
* Traders at Odu-Igbo section of Ochanja Market, Onitsha in Anambra State have staged a peaceful protest over the alleged plan by the Onitsha South local government council to demolish their shops and stalls. The angry traders accused the Care-taker Chairman of Ochanja Central Market, Mr. Bonaventure Muo of conniving with the authority to carry out the act.
* The Member Representing Idemili South Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Ebuka Igwe has described Governor Chukwuma Soludo as a patriotic, selfless and committed leader whose passion for a better and progressive Anambra is unprecedented. Igwe who was reacting to the progress recorded under Soludo led administration within fifteen months said that the Governor is laying a foundation of economic prosperity and sustainable development in Anambra State.
* Former President General of Isuaniocha, in Awka North Local Government Area , Chief Tony Onyeagolu has called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to intervene in the internal crisis in community by going through the findings and recommendations made by a committee set up by previous administration in the state. Onyeagolu made the call while speaking with journalists in Awka. According to him, implementing the Certified True Copy of the recommendations made available by the committee will no doubt bring about the desired peace in the area.
* The Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo has handed one Ogechukwu Eneh over to the police for using a sick child for alms.
Obinabo who expressed sadness over the development, regretted that despite her numerous warnings for perpetrators to desist from such acts, many are still involved in it and onvowed not to let anyone who is caught go scot free.
* The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra Sector Command has inaugurated Road Safety Clubs in ten schools within the state. Speaking during the event, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps Mr. Adeoye Irelewuyi said the aim at inculcating road safety education in pupils and students is to achieve safer road for all.
* The Transition Committee Chairman of Oyi Local Government Area Mr Emmanuel Nweke has stressed the need to re-invent the past in order to reshape the future, Mr Nweke who spoke during the unveiling of school debate championship trophies at Oyi Local government headquarters Nteje, observed that indifferent attitude is one of the major things destroying the society. The Transition Committee Chairman advised that people should inculcate in their children the attitude of cleanliness and correct waste disposal methods.
