* The Transition Committee Chairman of Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon. Kingsley Obi says indigenes of Ihiala around the world who desire to return home for the 2023 Christmas celebration and other end of the year festivities must return home to enjoy themselves and make merry with friends and families without disturbances. Obi who gave assurance of a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere in the area now, said there is no cause for alarm in Ihiala anymore because his security strategies are yielding positive results.

* A stakeholder in Anambra state, Chief Innocent Ezeoha has described Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’s administration as quite purposeful and one that is fully committed to enthroning good governance in the state. Speaking to newsmen in his office in Onitsha, Ezeoha who is the chairman Onitsha Main Market, pointed out that since inception of the present administration last year, Ndi Anambra have witnessed unprecedented development in all sectors of the economy and quality service delivery in virtually all spheres of governance.

* A special thanksgiving service was held at Saint Mathew’s Parish, Eziagu in Orumba South Local Government Area to mark the end of the eighteenth Aguata Diocesan Women’s conference. The conference which has its theme as ‘divine principles of transformational stewardship, was hosted by Eziagu Anglican community under Ezira Archdeaconry.

* Abba community of the famous writer, Chimamanda Adichie, has revealed why they are frequently having issues with Chief Arthur Eze of Ukpo, in the Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State. In a statement by the President General of Abba Town Union (ATU), Ekwuagana Alexander, the community accused Arthur Eze of trying to amass their land but they refused. The community alleged that their rejection of monetary offer coming from Prince Arthur Eze to forego their patrimony was the beginning of their affliction.

* There was fear and unrest on Friday in Anambra as gunmen suspected to be enforcers of sit-at-home order unleashed voilence in the state. ANN reports that in a video that has gone viral, the assailants were seen chasing traders at the bustling Nkpor junction near Onitsha and Igbariam, located in close proximity to the Chukwuemeka Odumegu Ojukwu University campus.

* A chieftain of the All progressives Grand Alliance Chief Boniface Egbutu has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for all his efforts towards speedy industrialization of the State.  Speaking in an interview, Egbutu said that the Governor’s push towards ensuring improved security of life and property will no doubt bring more investors to Anambra State

* The Vice Chancellor of Tansian University in Anambra State, Prof. Eugene Okoye Nwadialor says the institution leads other universities in Nigeria in terms of production of quality graduates with comparative advantage over contemporaries from other universities. Nwadialor who stated this at a brief ceremony of the formal presentation of appointment letter to Sen. Dr. Victor Umeh as Chancellor of Tansian University, at his country home Aguluzigbo Anaocha Local Government Area, said as a faith-based institution, Tansian University has top-notch academic and non-academic staff who are committed and dedicated to the training and certification of people with sound moral rectitude and proficiency.

* Leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), South East Zone, has lamented long detention of members in Anambra State Correctional Centres without trial. The association lamented that many of her members has been dumped inside prisons for the past five years without trial. The lamentation was made known to journalists in Awka by the zonal Chairman of MACBAN, Alhaji Gidado Siddikki

* Anambra State government has disolved the Nnewi Zone Executive of Anambra State Market Amalgamated Traders Association, ASMATA. A Press release signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Trades and Markets, Chief Evarist Uba said the Chairman, Chief Leonard Onwuatuegwu, together with his Zonal Executives have been disbanded with immediate effect. The release said this was as a result of engaging in acts capable of causing the breach of public peace.

* Anambra State Erosion, Watershed and Climate Change Agency (ANSEWCCA) has opened the newly constructed water channel at Oko, connecting it to the main water channel. ANN Recall that Oko community in recent times suffered huge losses occasioned by erosion and landslide.

* The Transition Committee Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Mr Gerald Ozoh has distributed drugs worth millions of naira to the Primary Health Centers in Anaocha Local Government Area. During the distribution exercise which touched all the communities in Anaocha Local Government Area, Ozoh and his team inspected some of the health facilities to ascertain other challenges confronting them .
