* Anambra State Government has debunked viral video on social media platforms purporting that Governor Chukwuma Soludo was thrown out of VIP sitting position at the presidential inauguration ceremony. A statement signed by the Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Christian Aburime described the video as very mischievous, misleading and handwork of mischief makers, who derive pleasure in mis-informing the general public.

* Executive Director, Anambra State Internal Revenue Service, Dr Christian Madubuko says they will stop at nothing in the ongoing effort to rid the state of illegal tax collectors and touts. Madubuko stated this shortly after he led the enforcement team of the service to seal off some companies and guest houses in Awada-Obosi and environs over tax evasion as well as arrest some illegal revenue collectors at Upper Iweka Onitsha recently.

* The Chairman of Anaocha LGA, Mr Gerald Ozoh has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his dedication towards building a greater future for Ndi Anambra. Mr Ozoh who was speaking at Awka shortly after the state congress of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, said that the effort Governor Chukwuma Soludo towards returning law and order in Anambra State, access to quality and affordable healthcare services, good infrastructure, job creation and youth empowerment is commendable .

* Governor of Anambra State and National Leader of APGA, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has commissioned the Regional Headquarter of the party in Awka. ANN reports that Governor Soludo commended the National Chairman of the party, Ozonkpu Victor Oye, and the party’s National Working Committee for erecting such a magnificent edifice.

* The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, has extended condolences to the family, friends and staff of Chief Raymond Dokpesi, founder of DAAR Communications and owner of AIT and Ray Power FM who passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023. Ekwunife paid tribute to the elder statesman, an icon of Nigerian media industry and a Chieftain of the  PDP, saying that the death of the veteran media entrepreneur is both a colossal loss to the sector, and great loss to our country.

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has called for concerted efforts in the ongoing fight against insecurity and commended the church for its role in that regard. Soludo who made the call during a thanksgiving service to mark the end of the Third Session of the Sixth Synod of Diocese of Aguata, held at Holy Trinity Church, Igboukwu recently equally charged the church not to relent in its responsibility of improving the moral tone of the society.

* The President General of the Amansea Development Union, in Awka North Local Government Area, Anambra State, Chief Chris Ughanze, has pledged his community’s gratitude to the governor of the state, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, for embarking on the reconstruction of the very strategic 29 km Amansea-Oba-Ofemili Road, after a long period of neglect by successive administrations in the state. The PG who stated this while speaking with newsmen recently in Amansea, expressed satisfaction on the progress of work on the 29 km road flagged off earlier this year. He commended Prof Soludo for doing what other governors before him neglected.

* A Non-Governmental Organization, Zobam Charity Foundation has organized a one day symposium to sensitize students on importance of good  menstrual hygiene to restore the Girl Child Confidence. Speaking at the event in Awka,  the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) St. Paul University Prof. Chinyere Stella  Okunna who expressed delight in celebrating the occasion with the students, said Nigeria was a patriarchy society which places more dignity on men and do not appreciate women enough.

* The newly elected President, Nawfija Youths Association, Comrade Emmanuel Okereke and other executive members have joyfully worshipped at St Patrick’s Catholic Church Nawfija.

The Mass, according to Comrade Okereke was to place God first as well as an  opportunity to address the congregations.

* A maiden beach football tournament in Anambra, South-east organised by Moonshine Residence Nnewi, has kicked off amid fanfare and Jubilation. The tournament is build to last up to a month 

* Anambra State Government has reiterated its commitment to providing portable water to Ndi Anambra. This came to the fore when Governor Chukwuma Soludo inaugurated the conduct of Hydrogeological and Hydrological Mapping and Modeling for Water Source Potential in Anambra State.

* The member representing Anambra West Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Patrick Obalum-Udoba has commended governor Chukwuma Soludo for approving the connection of Umueze Anam-Inoma communities to the national grid. Udoba who spoke in his country home Umueze Anam recently, also said that the governor has equally approved the provision of pipe-borne water in the local government.
