* Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Sir. Ifeatu Obi Okoye has meet with the 21 Local Government Party Chairmen at the State Party Secretariat in Awka. The meeting, which is the first joint meeting of the SWC and the 21 LGA APGA Chairmen since the new Chairman, Chief Obi-Okoye assumed office, saw him create three (3) strategic committees to accelerate the realization of the new shared vision of his executive. The Committees include the Strategy and Tactical Committee, the Truth and Reconciliation Committee and the Business and Works Committee.
* Anambra State ‘Truth, Justice, and Peace Commission’ has organized a stakeholders engagement with the aim to foster dialogue that will address the remote and immediate causes of the agitations, restiveness, violence, and armed struggle in the South East. The commission, established by Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the wake of the insecurity crisis in Anambra State and in the South East region, mandated to uncover the truth, provide justice, and promote peace and security. The Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo in his speech called on the people of South-East geopolitical zone (Igbos), to embrace peace for sustainable development of the region.
* The member representing Aguata 2 Constituency at the house of assembly, Hon. Tony Muobike accompanied by leaders of the All Progressives Grand Alliance,APGA, Aguata Chapter has visited the site of the ongoing ultra modern Flyover Project in Ekwulobia where he commiserated with the traders, allied workers who have been been affected by the development. Speaking to the people, Muobike expressed solidarity with them, reassuring that the pain is transient.
* A group of Anambra citizens under the auspices of Anambra Demand Soludo (ADS) has commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for his community development strides, saying that the governor is meeting the expectations of the people. The commendations which came in torrents during the group’s reunion meeting held in Awka, were evidence of eloquent testimonies of what the governor is doing in their respective communities.
* Sen. Uche Ekwunife, has completed and commissioned some of her projects in the zone. The Construction of toilet facilities at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Ifitedunu in Dunukofia LGA of Anambra State is one of the landmark achievements of the Senator in the Community. Commissioning the facility, Ekwunife expressed joy over the completion of the project and other projects in the zone, adding that the overwhelming joy in the face of the people compliments her achievements as a Federal Lawmaker.
* Anambra State Government has approved  ₦243 billion contract award for construction of a leisure park to be known as Solution Fun City, in Awka. The state Commissioner for Information, Paul Nwosu, made the disclosure in a statement in Awka. He said that the approval was made at the Anambra State Executive Council meeting. Mr Nwosu said that the project to be sited at the Park B of the Awka Township Stadium would include supply and installation of outdoor and indoor amusement and waterpark equipment as well as indoor arcade games and bowling equipment.
* Anambra State government has intensify efforts towards developing strong primary healthcare system through seeking suggestions, opinion from stakeholders both within and outside the state. Deputy Governor of Anambra state Dr. Onyekachi Ibezim while speaking at the First Quarter Review Meeting of South East Traditional Rulers’ Committe on Primary Healthcare Delivery, held in Awka recently, urged community leaders to take ownership of the system in order to reduce maternal and infant mortality as well as increase life expectancy of Nigerians. Ibezim lamented that Nigeria’s health indices were still unacceptably high, and required deliberate efforts to improve them.
* The ban on street trading is an offence that attracts severe punishment from the Anambra State Government as the agency tasked with its enforcement has commenced arrest and confiscation of goods. In ensuring that Anambra have a saner and orderly environment, Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra; Ocha Brigade, were at Eke-Awka Market, Ukwu Orji, Amawbia, Gbalin’gba Market, Regina Junction, Unizik Temp Site and CPS road to remove structures blocking water ways, as well, confiscated goods from traders who has continue to constitute menace on our roads and street.
* The state commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engr Julius Chukwuemeka has met with the leadership of Okpoko Community Development Union at their Secretariat.
Chukwuemeka in his speech, thanked ndi Okpoko through their leadership, for their supports to the Solution government. He said that Okpoko is one of the communities very dear to Governor Chukwuma Soludo which is the reason Okpoko became the first place Soludo visited after swearing in.
