* The Transition Committee Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Hon Gerald Ozoh Mmili has commissioned a three classroom block built By a philanthropist Mr Dim C.J Martins Ekwe Ezenwa in Memorial of his late father Chief Wilfred Ezelisiaku Ekwe. Speaking at the Event Hon Gerald Ikechukwu Ozoh praised him for his philanthropical efforts and reaffirms Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s initiative on School adoption, stating that the introduction of Public Private Community Partartnership by Mr. Governor is to offers a space for communities to address local issues, find common ground and balance competing interests in all Areas Such as In Health Sector, Infrastructural Developments, Human Capital developments and Education.

* Contrary to insinuations in some quarters that Ihiala Local Government Secretariat Complex is still in rubbles after being razed down by gunmen in January this year, the Transition Committee Chairman Hon. Kingsley Obi has said that such were lies from the pit of hell. Obi who said those peddling such lies were enemies of Soludo’s government, saying that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has responded proactively to the rebuilding of the headquarters complex and that the reconstruction is on the verge of completion.

* Anambra government has intensify effort in settling the dispute between Omor and Anaku in Ayamelum LGA, promising to restoring peace. The peace committee led by the Deputy Governor Dr. Onyeka Ibizim charged them to promote brotherly love and embrace peace at all cost. He asked them to be their brothers keeper, as fighting/violence has not solved any problem. Ibezim cautioned Umu Ayamelum against unhealthy traditional practices. He urged them to desist from any form of ungodly practice.

* Some residents of Awka the capital city of Anambra State, have lamented over the pace of the ongoing construction of Okpuno-Isuanịọcha road, which was preceded by massive demolition of shops, residential buildings, and other structures in the area to widen the road. It would be recalled that Anambra State Government, on March 22, 2023, began the demolition of over two hundred shops, hotels, and residential apartments, located along the Oby Okoli Avenue, which stretches from UNIZIK temporary site junction to across Okpuno and Isuanịọcha villages in Awka. ATM facilities, church buildings, and some other structures in the area were also not spared.

* The Managing Director of the Anambra State Waste Management Authority, (ASWAMA) Mr. Mike Ozoemena has urged people of the state to imbibe the culture of proper environmental cleanliness. The ASWAMA Boss made the call when he led the ASWAMA enforcement team to monitor the level of compliance by the people to this month’s environmental sanitation exercise of in Awka.Speaking to newsmen at the Eke Awka market roundabout, the ASWAMA MD said most residents of Awka do not take the exercise seriously.

* Anambra State Police command has called on proprietors of private hospitals and managers of public health facilities to help them to arrest fleeing gunmen, who escaped with bullet injury after an encounter with security operatives.
ANN learnt that recently, some heavily armed gunmen ambushed operatives of the Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG) in Okija, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, but were repelled.

* The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor has charged married couples to always maintain the sanctity of marriage. Delivering a message at the Cathedral Church of Saint John Ekwulobia during a special service Ezeofor described marriage as an institution ordained by God which needs absolute protection.
