# The Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra State Command, announces the deployment of its personnel and resources in preparation for the second-term inauguration of Governor

In collaboration with other security agencies, the Command has intensified traffic control measures and public sensitization efforts to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free vehicular movement during and after the event.
Addressing officers and men, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Bridget Asekhauno, charged them to exhibit a high level of discipline and professionalism.
A total of 275 officers and men, along with 29 vehicles, including bikes, ambulances, and tow trucks, have been deployed across the state.
The Command urges residents, stakeholders, and visitors to remain law-abiding and cooperate with security personnel to ensure the safety of all dignitaries and members of the public.
The Sector Commander reiterates the Command’s commitment to providing adequate safety measures and ensuring that the inauguration ceremony is conducted in a peaceful and secure atmosphere.
# The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command, Comdt. Maku Olatunde, alongside other service commanders, attended the Inter-denominational thanksgiving service held at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Awka to mark end of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’s first term in office.
The service, titled “Leading with Wisdom and Integrity,” signified the end of the Governor’s initial four-year tenure and acted as a spiritual launchpad for his second term in office inauguration.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Service, Commandant Maku Olatunde emphasized that it marked a significant milestone, marking the end of Governor Soludo’s first four years administration. He noted that the event, which brought together Anambra residents and visitors alike to pray for the Governor’s success, was a demonstration of support as they seek divine guidance for his second term swearing in ceremony.
# Ambassador Dr. John Metchie, Ezi Umueri, and the President General (PG) of the ancient Umueri Kingdom in Anambra-East LGA, has congratulated Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on his second term inauguration which marks the commencement of another 4 years as Governor of Anambra State
In a congratulatory message issued by the PG, Amb. Metchie described the re-election of Prof. Soludo as a clear endorsement of visionary leadership, transformative governance, and people-centered development.
He noted that the people of Anambra overwhelmingly demonstrated their confidence in the governor’s leadership at the polls, where he secured victory across all 21 Local Government Areas of the State, scoring a symbolic 73% of votes cast, describing the feat as “a historic mandate and a strong affirmation that Ndi Anambra believe in the Governor’s development blueprint.
# The Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, has congratulated Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as activities marking the inauguration of his second term in office commence.
Obiogbolu noted that it is both symbolic and significant that the programme of events begins with an Interdenominational Church Service and will conclude with a Thanksgiving Service, describing the decision to begin and end the inauguration activities with God as a reflection of humility and recognition that leadership is a sacred trust.
He stated that the Governor’s second term represents a renewed mandate and a reaffirmation of the people’s confidence in his vision of building a livable and prosperous homeland for ndị Anambra. Obiogbolu further noted that such dedication to service has also inspired his own aspiration to represent the people of Anambra North Senatorial Zone in the Senate, with a commitment to serve with humility, transparency, and a deep sense of responsibility to the people.
# The leading aspirant for Idemili North/South Federal Constituency under the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu has vowed to address the “long time deprivations”, which he said the people of ldemili North/South have suffered because of lack of federal government presence in the constituency.
Iyiegbu promised to provide quality representation for the federal constituency if supported in the next year’s general election. He maintained that his people deserved a representation that would effectively connect the constituency to the national resource distribution.
While stating that he will lobby to attract federal government-funded projects to the communities, he added that he would promote legislations that will address the constituency’s needs while delivering on his S.E.E.D.S programme.
# The Mayor of Ayamelum Local Government, Hon. Prince Alphonsus Ofumelu, and the APGA Mayoral Candidate, Amb. Emmanuel Mgbechi Emmanuel Igwebuike, hosted Ayamelum party stakeholders at the Local Government Secretariat in Anaku.

Somtochukwu Udeze has said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s reelection has justified the confidence the people of Anambra State have in him as well as his astute performance and commitment to the upliftment of the basic welfare of the people and overall development of the State during his first tenure.
