* Anambra State Government in partnership with Microsoft and Wootlab Foundation to set to train 20,000 youths of Anambra on selected digital skills starting this March. This ties into Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s manifesto. The broad pillars under which the agenda will be driven are education, health, youths and women empowerment among others. ANN reports that the state government has also concluded plans to launch her Innovation and Business Incubation Program on 21st March, 2023. * The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Council Area, Hon. (Mrs) Amaka Obi (Iyom Idemili) have commended Governory Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the Executive Governor of Anambra State for making the state a reference point in public service reforms in the country. Hon. Obi made the commendation on at the Ojoto local Government Headquarters while addressing newsmen. She noted that Anambra State has a population of more than 5 million people with 120,000 work force in the civil service.
* The Transition Committee Chairman of Anaocha LGA, Mr. Gerald Ozoh has assured of state government’s partnership with communities to ensure functional health centers. Mr. Ozoh gave the indication during an inspection exercise at the newly built one-storied building complex at Ichida. The TC Chairman during the inspection exercise stated that the government is making sincere efforts in changing the narratives in the healthcare sector and will not want any Anambra citizen to die out of carelessness and unprofessionalism.
* In making sure that the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA wins the Saturday, March 18th House of Assembly election, the member elect, Federal House of Representatives for Oyi/Ayamelum constituency, Hon Lady Maureen Chinwe Gwacham, has continued to solicit for support for APGA House of Assembly candidate for Oyi Constituency, Hon Sir Innocent Ojike (OJICAM). Speaking at a joint meeting, Hon Gwacham said that no stone would be left unturned in the quest for APGA’s victory come Saturday’s election. She appealed to the members of the support groups not to relent in their efforts until Victory is achieved.
* The Senator-elect for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Chief Victor Umeh has said that his joy of winning the February 25th general election would not be complete without the presidential candidate for Labour Party Mr. Peter Obi reclaiming his mandate in court. Speaking at a radio programme, Umeh while thanking the people of Anambra Central Senatorial District for voting for him, enjoined them not to despair over the rigging of the presidential election, stating that Obi would reclaim his mandate by the grace of God.
* The International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety), has alleged that some governors are making plans to spend tax payer’s money to win votes in Saturday’s House of Assembly election. The group raised the alarm in a special report to newsmen signed by the trio of Emeka Umeagbalasi, Board Chairman; Chinwe Umeche Esquire, Head, Democracy and Good Governance; and Chidinma Udegbunam, Head, Campaign and Publicity Department.
In Anambra State, the group alleged that governor Soludo has mapped out over two billion naira to ensure that candidates of the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) win and retains majority of the seats in the State’s Assembly poll.
* The determination of the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD to complete her legislative term strongly gathered momentum as her School Hostel project at Bubendorf Memorial Grammar School, Adazi-Nnukwu in Anaocha LGA of Anambra State nears completion. Ekwunife who inspected the project today, 16th March, 2023 noted that Education is a sector government at all levels should pay attention to, describing the sector as the bedrock of the society.
* Dunukofia TC Chairman Mr. Onyemaobi Augustine Nonyelum has called on the people of his constituency to Vote APGA come 18th March, 2023. Nonyelum also urged the entire Dunukofia people to vote Hon. * Nibo Women in (Ogbo Obodobo) have unanimously endorsed the candidacy of the member representing Awka south constituency 2 in the Anambra state house of Assembly Hon.Chukwuma Okoye for 2nd term. The endorsement was made known on a courtesy visit by the lawmaker. * Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has flagged-off the construction of a flyover bridge in Ekwulọbịa. Also flagged-off for construction in the location are adjoining roads, a modern bus terminal, a fuel station, a security building, a fire station, among others.
