* A foremost member of the Board of Trustees, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka has extended his full support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State. Ezeonwuka, in a statement made available to journalists, said although he knew the capacity of Soludo even before his election, he (Ezeonwuka) is delighted that the governor lived up to his name by bringing unending solutions to the numerous challenges facing Anambra people and state. He therefore called on all to render the governor deserved support, arguing that no opposition can replicate the ‘Solution’ the governor is bringing to Anambra State.

* Anambra State House of Assembly will on Friday March 22 2024 hold a valedictory session for late Rt. Hon. Anayo Nnebe on Friday March 22, 2024 by 10:am. Anambra Speaker Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze at plenary on urged all members of the 8th assembly to wear white dress while coming. According to Rt. Hon. Udeze, former Anambra lawmakers and ex-Speakers from other states including Governor Chukwuma Soludo will attend the valedictory session.

* A bill for a law to provide for the regulation of Igbo Apprenticeship System (Igba boi and trainee) and for related matters has passed through second reading at the Anambra State House of Assembly. The the sponsor of the bill, Hon. Ejike Okechukwu, member representing Anaocha two constituency while leading the debate stated that the major problem facing Nigeria is the issue of unemployment. According to Hon. Okechukwu, in this part of the country and South-East in the 70′, 80′ and 90s, the major employment of labour is apprenticeship system (Igba boi and trainee)

* Anambra State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has donated clothes and shoe materials to about 500 elderly persons and children in Ugbenu community in Awka North Local Government of the State. The State Chairman of the Council, Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu who presented the items to the people at the Community Primary School field recently, stated that it is part of the State Council’s mission and vision to alleviate the suffering of the vulnerable ones in the society. Odogwu disclosed that it was the first time the council, since inception, would be embarking on such humanitarian services to rural communities in Anambra State.

* The Anambra State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Maku Olatunde has charged newly recruited personnel of the Corps to work hard, stay humble and enjoy a promising career in NSCDC.  Maku stated this during the ceremonial presentation of certificate of training  to the new entrants into the job after successful completion of six months basic induction program. Commandant Maku congratulated the officers on behalf of the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR , on their resilience during training till the passing out parade and offered advice as they embarked on their new careers on the importance of always doing what is right. 

* It was a dramatic scene as youths in Uruagu Nnewi set ablaze branded vests of the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Sen. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah. The incident happened at Nnewi Hotel Junction, Uruagu, shortly after Governor Chukwuma Soludo commissioned the 3.2 kilometres Okpunoeze-Uruagu Road, Nnewi. A video currently trending on the social media shows the youths who were previously in Senator Ubah’s camp, as they pulled out their branded vests of the Senator, spread them on the tarred road.

* The Anambra State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to hold its 2024 Colloquium and Mega Empowerment Rally in Nnewi. A statement by the media office of the party disclosed that the events which would be powered by the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District and the only elected official of the party in the state, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, CON, are meant to enrich the minds of the party members, the people of Anambra South and Ndị Igbo in general with a lecture on ‘De-Marginalization of the South East and Integration to National Politics’ that would be delivered at Anaedo Hall Nnewi on Friday, March 22, 2024, by the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof Charles Esimone, FAS.

* Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has assured Ndi Anambra that the Professor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration will double its last two years achievements for the state in the remaining years. Giving the assurance at the International Convention Center Awka during an event to mark the two years anniversary of the present government, Deputy Governor Ibezim, who explained that the wellbeing of Ndi Anambra remains the priority of the Professor Soludo government, said that people of the state are yet to see and experience good governance and equitable distribution of democracy dividends in the state under the Soludo leadership, as according to him, the present achievements of the government are little compared to what it still has in stock for the state.
