* The Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU) has insisted that Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo did not interfere with the conduct of the March 18th House of Assembly Elections in the state. ASATU national president, Barr. Titus Nnabuike Akpudo said the governor never bothered in any way to interfere with the process. He maintained that Soludo allowed Ndi-Anambra the latitude to go out and exercise their franchise without fear and intimidation. He said the governor believes that the will of God will always prevail in all activities.
* The Commissioner of Police deployed to Anambra State by the Inspector General of Police for the 2023 House of Assembly Election, CP Aderemi Adeoye has thanked the good people of Anambra State for their peaceful conduct during the polls. In a release by DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Anambra State Command, he noted that this was the same peaceful disposition they exhibited during the last Governorship election in 2021 when he was DC Operations for the Command.
* The United Nations Children’s Funds (UNICEF) has ended its five-day medical outreach in communities ravaged by the 2022 flooding in Anambra State. Speaking on behalf of the locals during the grand finale of the programme at the Umuoba Anam Primary Health Centre( PHC) in Anambra East Local Government Area of the state, the officer in charge( OIC) of the centre, Patience Okoye hailed UNICEF for its assistance to the community. The outreach programme which was sponsored through Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and Central Emergency Relief Fund (CERF), according to Okoye involved immunization of children and administration of COVID-19 vaccine to adults, especially women.
* The Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism Mr Don Onyenji has organized a victory party in his residence in Akwu-ukwu to appreciate those who supported the All Progressives Grand Alliance candidate, Sir Ebuka Igwe to emerge victorious in the just concluded state house of Assembly election in Anambra State. Mr Onyenji on behalf of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and APGA thanked the people of Akwukwu, Idemili South Local Government Area and Anambra State in general for the massive support given to APGA both at the Federal and state Assembly elections in the state.
* The TC Chairman of Anaocha LGA, Hon Gerald Ikechukwu Ozoh has commended the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo for launching of the Solution Innovation District (SID) and his vision to create 10,000 millionaires annually.
He made this known during the Anambra Digital Tribe MOU signing to train 20,000 youths and launch of the Anambra State Government Solution Innovation District, which was held at Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre in Awka.
* Barely twenty-four hours after Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, launched the state Solution Innovation District (SID), over five thousand Anambra young people have applied to participate in the training. The Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Innovation and Business Incubation, Ms.Chinwe Okoli stated this in a reaction to appreciate participants on the successful launch of the SID project.
* The senator representing Anambra South District, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah reassured his constituents that he will not relent in putting in measures that will promote their wellbeing. Senator Ubah made the remarks during his visits to Otolo Ward 1, 2, and Ward 3 in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State. Speaking at the events which took place at St Peter Clavers Catholic Church Otolo Nnewi, St James Catholic Church Ógbè Otolo Nnewi and St Thomas Anglican Church Otolo Nnewi, Senator Ubah appreciated the members of the ward for their continuous supports and reassured them that he will continue to partner with relevant authorities to foster community development in various parts of Anambra South Senatorial District.
* Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has dismissed claims in some quarters that he would stop ongoing projects in communities that did not vote his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). This is in response to a certain video where he was seen having a friendly chat with some visitors eulogizing the past leaders of eastern region for their developmental strides which the governor is currently replicating in Anambra. According to his Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, “this innocuous discussion was however misconstrued by some mischief makers to mislead Ndi Anambra”.
