* Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has launched ‘One Youth, Two Skills’ scheme today in Awka. The scheme which is aimed at addressing the unemployment challenges among youths, as well as to curb crimes and criminality is being implemented in partnership with Unizik Business School (UBS) of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. ANN reports that the Anambra State Government through the Ministry of Youth Development will train 1000 youths starting with a 2-day Workshop for Entrepreneurship Development Institutes (EDIs) under the Scheme.
* The United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, in partnership with the state ministry of Women and Social Welfare, has trained sixty people on Child Protection Case Management and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Anambra State. The training which took place in Awka included participants drawn from teachers, social welfare and health officers, religious and youth leaders of the seven local government areas hugely affected by flood.

* The Apex Igbo Socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has said that Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu never referred to Yorubas as political rascals, describing the report as a lie from the pit of hell. Ohaneze said the report was “a typical falsehood, fabricated by social media entrepreneurs, decorated with wings, expanded with venom, injected with ethnic nuances to create inter-ethnic mistrust between the age-long partners in social, cultural, religious and economic development of Nigeria.
