* Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, has felicitated with the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Airpeace, Chief Allen Ifechukwu Onyema, CON, on the occasion of his 59th birthday anniversary. Governor Soludo while congratulating the Airpeace boss described him as an illustrious son of Anambra State who has contributed immensely to the growth of the Aviation sector in the country
* The leader of Fulani community in Anambra, Alhaji Gidado Sadiq has said that under Governor Chukwuma Soludo, his Fulani community has benefited from conducive environment created for non-indigenes to live peacefully and do businesses in Anambra.
Alhaji Sadiq observed that development is going on in all parts of the state, and commended the state government for rehabilitation of the failed Amansea portion of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway. He noted that Anambra is lucky to have Soludo, an Economist, as present helmsman, and called for support to enable the Governor take Anambra to enviable height.
* The South-East Amalgamated Markets Traders Association (SEAMATA) has congratulated the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) on its partnership with the Anambra state government for steady electricity supply to the state. Anambra state government had last weekend signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with EEDC towards providing energy security and extending universal electricity access for residents of the state.
* The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Amaku Awka, Dr. Josephat Akabuike says Governor Chukwuma Soludo has taken steps to improve the health sector by directing the employment of health workers in order to strengthen existing manpower. He affirmed that the Governor’s one year in office has been impactful with solid foundation, urging him to sustain the tempo in policy implementation.






* Governor of Anambra State Professor Chukwuma Soludo has inaugurated the members of the Anambra State Board Of Internal Revenue Service. Performing the function at the Governor’s lodge, Amawbia, Soludo rolled out their terms of reference as follows; providing general policy guidelines regarding the functions of the State Internal Revenue Service and supervising implementation of such policies, ensuring the effective and optimum collection of all revenue, including levies and penalties due to the State Government under the relevant Federal and State Laws.
* The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Prof. Charles Esimone has thanked Anambra state government led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo for partnering with Unizik Business School (UBS) which, according to him, would be part of services offered by the institution as a community development service. Esimone while speaking at the launching of ‘One Youth, Two Skills’ scheme in Awka, congratulated the selected Entrepreneurship Development Institutes (EDIs) and urged them to take the exercise as a very important assignment capable of liberating many youths from shackles of poverty.
* Anambra State House of Assembly has resumed plenary after some weeks of break.
The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor while welcoming members of the House back to legislative business congratulated his colleagues who were re-elected in the March eighteenth House of Assembly election. Right Honourable Okafor extolled Governor Chukwuma Soludo for providing an enabling environment for the election to hold peacefully without violence. He observed that the election was peaceful as the electorate voted without any form of intimidation.
* Anambra state Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim has called on community heads and other stakeholders to join hands with the Professor Chukwuma Soludo led administration to achieve the target clean and healthy state.
The Deputy Governor made the call during a meeting with Presidents General and Local Government Chairmen from across the state at ASATU hall, Government House in Awka. Deputy Governor Ibezim who is the chairman Clean, Green and Sustainable Anambra Exco Committee, said that the team is mandated by the government to ensure that the clean, green and sustainable state targeted by the present administration is actualized and sustained.
* Commissioner for Environment Anambra state, Mr Felix Odimegwu says markets will be shut down on Saturday from 7am to 10am, for the flag off of the Clean, Green and Sustainable Anambra project of the Professor Soludo government. He called on ndi-Anambra to take active part in the special exercise, as he mandated Local Government chairmen, Presidents General, and other community heads in the state to simultaneously promote and participate at the special environmental sanitation in the various nooks and crannies of the state, and as well to device means of sustaining clean environment in the areas afterwards.
* A market leader and APGA Chieftain, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu has blamed the immediate past State Commissioner for Trade and Commerce Dr.Obinna Ngonadi of causing rancour between Anambra State Government and traders across the State. Chief Ochiogu who is President, Ogbaru Main Market told newsmen in Onitsha at the weekend that traders had lost confidence in the State Government because of the ignoble attitude of the then Commerce Commissioner towards market leadership and traders in the State. Ochiogu stated that despite the ill-feelings APGA would have clinched ninety percent of the House Assembly Seats .
