* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has continued to receive commendations from Ndi Anambra on his achievements within one year in office.

Some Ndi Anambra, who reacted to the performance of Governor Soludo since assumption of office said that his record is unprecedented. For the transition committee chairman, Nnewi North Local Government Area, Engineer Chris Obiorah, Governor Soludo’s performance within one year in office has not been witnessed in the history of the state.

* The Anambra State coordinator of Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Joemartins Uzodike has given the indication that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party ( LP) in the February 25 polls, Mr Peter Obi, will challenge the declaration of Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu as winner of the election in court.

While advising Obi supporters across the country to be peaceful and calm over the result of Saturday’s presidential election, Uzodike described Obi as an enigma who had weathered the storms in his political career.

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has appealed to people of the state to vote for candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the upcoming March 11th, 2023 State House of Assembly elections. He said voting for APGA candidates during the election, would help him sustain the tempo of development across the 21 local government areas of the State.

* APGA Chieftain, Chief Jude Emecheta has advised that Ndi Anambra should not be biased but rather see the commitment of Governor Soludo in delivering good governance. He asked Ndi Anambra to troop out in their numbers to support APGA on March eleven election adding that supporting APGA in the election will play a major role in achieving sustainable development in the state.

* The General Overseer of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministries Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanemere (popularly known as Odumeje), has revealed that Ahmed Bola Tinubu is not the kind of leader Nigeria deserves. Prophet Odumeje disclosed this on the church’s social media handle while reacting to the recent declaration of Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the winner of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

* Some residents of Awka have expressed dissatisfaction with the presidential election conducted last Saturday by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Commenting on the exercise, a one-time Commissioner for Lands in Anambra State, Barrister John Okoli-Akirika, disclosed that section sixty sub section five of the 2022 Electoral Act stipulates that INEC shall upon completion of election in every polling unit transmit the result of the election online to their portal. He observed that the electoral umpire flouted the law by failing to upload the result of the presidential election in their server but only uploaded results of the national assembly elections.

* The former President General (PG) of Obiofia, Nnewi, Chief Mike Ibeokonkwo,  the Obi of Umudala Ogbuji, umuezize Obiofia Nnewichi, has commended the indigenes of Anambra South Senatorial District for turning out in their numbers to re elect Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah. He said, this feat of love by the people has indeed shown that Senator Ubah has a place in their hearts because of his disposition to good governance. Recall that Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah who is representing Anambra South senatorial zone has just emerged victorious in the February 25th National Assembly elections.

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has promised to remain committed to the Anambra project. The Governor restated this in Awka after monitoring the numerous ongoing road projects across the state to ascertain level of progress made so far by the contractors. He restated that Ndi Anambra employed him, and that he will work day and night to give the people the best.

* Peace has been described as catalyst for harmonious coexistence and development in every society. The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr. Felix Ikechi, disclosed this when he received the report of Odekpe and Allah n’Onugwa Land Reconciliation and Rehabilitation Committee at the local government secretariat in Nzam. ANN recalls that the committee was inaugurated few months ago by Mr. Ikechi’s local government administration to find lasting solution to the land dispute bedeviling the two communities for over a decade.
