*  The candidate of YPP for Anambra State House of Assembly Idemili North Constituency, Hon Okey Arthur Nwokedi has continue his campaign as he visited Abacha ward ahead of March 11th state election. The visit was to assess the level of preparedness, reappraise the performance of the party in the last presidential election and to map out a fresh strategy in mobilising all the party faithfuls and support groups ahead of March 11th state elections.

* The 2019 APGA aspirants in Anambra state under the name Association of Aggrieved APGA Aspirants, (AAA) have regrouped to stop APGA from winning any seat at the House of Assembly on March 11 governorship and state assembly elections. The group led by Owelle Onyeka Mbaso is insisting that Governor Soludo must quickly implement the Uju Okeke reconciliation committee report which recommended that all aspirants of APGA in 2019 who were unjustly extorted must be refunded.

* The family of late Mr Nathaniel Uzuegbunam in Obiuno community in Otolo, Nnewi, Anambra state has received a very sad and heartbreaking news about the death of their daughter, Mrs Ebere Obiora (Nne Uzuegbunam), who was later discovered to have been strangled to death by her husband, Mr Ikechukwu Obiora from Ezi-Ogwugwu community, also in Otolo, Nnewi. The news came as a shock to the family, as they claimed they had no prior idea their daughter was having issues with her husband since she got married in August,2022. 

* The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Anambra State House of Assembly, Ogbaru 2 constituency,  Hon. Emmanuel Uzonwanne has again reaffirmed his promise to create positive change in Ogbaru if he is elected. Uzonwanne while addressing his Constituents ahead of the March 11 election, maintained that his quest to represent his people was not to enrich himself, but to attract dividends of democracy, advocate for the people of Ogbaru 

* Senator Ifeanyi Ubah is the only serving member of the National Assembly that retained his seat. Every other national assembly member from Anambra state lost the election. In Idemili north and south, Obinna Chidoka lost. In Onitsha North and South, Lynda Ikpeazu lost. In Ogbaru, Chuchu Onyema lost. In Oyi/Ayamelum, Vincent Ofumelu lost. In Anambra east/west, Obidigwe lost. In Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha, Dozie Nwankwo who went for senate lost. In Orumba North and South, Ewepudike lost. In Aguata, Umeoji went for senate and couldn’t make it. In Nnewi north, Nnewi south and Ekwusigo, Azubogu went for senate and lost. In Ihiala, Chudi Momah lost. In Awka north and south, the incumbent didn’t run in any election. In senate, Iyom and Oduah also lost.

* As the State House of Assembly election gathers momentum, Mr. Ndubisi Ochiogu has enjoined Ndi-Anambra not only to support the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Party, but also for them to come out en masse and vote for all APGA candidates. Mr. Ochiogu is APGA chieftain and President General of Ogbaru Main Market popularly known as Relief Market near Onitsha, Anambra State. He disclosed to newsmen in Onitsha that March 11, 2023 State House of Assembly election would be a must win by APGA party in Anambra State in order to sustain development which according to him began by Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, urging Ndi-Anambra to throw support and vote for APGA candidates.

* Against fears that the Labour Party House of Assembly Candidates would impeach Governor Charles Soludo when elected the State Coordinator for Obi/ Datti Campaign Council Bar Jeo-Martins Uzodike has denied the allegation. This is as a result of reports that supporters of the Labour Party have resolved to vote against the Soludo led All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA as a mark of protest against the refusal of the governor to support its Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.

* Anambra police have arrested a man who, with his accomplices, harvested some body parts of a 72 years old woman in Anambra state. The survivor hails from Umunze, Orumba North Council Area of the State.

The ugly incident was discovered after the woman raised alarm when one of her domestic workers alongside two other men stampeded her in her house and cut off her genital organs including nipple, ear, fingers among others. The alleged culprit, Onyebuchi Ezeh, a native of Abakaliki in Ebonyi state, confessed that they were sent by a native doctor to get the body parts of the 72 year – old woman for ritual purposes, so that they would become billionaires.

* A 26-year-old National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member who was declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force on February 20, 2023 for impersonation of an Assistant Superintendent of Police and defamation of character, Emeh Nnamdi has been arrested.

Nnamdi was arrested in a joint operation by INTERPOL operatives in Benin Republic and Nigeria on Friday, March 3, 2023 in connection with allegations that top police officers in Anambra State Command were involved in kidnapping and killing of suspects after extorting them and human organ trafficking. The 26-year old son of Professor JK Emeh is currently in Police custody in Abuja.
