* Mr. Christian Aburime, Press Secretary to the Governor hand Anambra State has debunked the report that professor Chukwuma Soludo met with Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and his son, Seyi at Imo State government house, Owerri, to discuss how to stop the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi from reclaiming the mandate through Court process and to eliminate him. Aburime while reacting to a viral massage on social media, dismissed the allegation as conspiracy.

* Anambra State House of Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon.forth Uche Okafor has called on Ndi Anambra to vote all candidates of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in the forth coming election on Saturday March 11th 2023. Speaking to newsmen in his Office in Awka, Okafor noted that there is need for Ndi Anambra to demonstrate the spirit of” Nkea bu nke anyi” by electing APGA House of Assembly members that will work with Governor Soludo for the overall development of the State.

* The Winner of the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial Election and the Senator representing the District at the Red Chamber Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah at his Umuanuka Otolo Nnewi residence, handed over a Mercedes Benz Car to the Obi of Nnewichi, Nnewi His Highness, Obi George Onyekaba (Obidiugwu). Speaking at the brief ceremony, Senator Ubah said that he presented the new gift to Obidiugwu in appreciation of his unalloyed support. 

*  Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo and that of Youths Mr Patrick Agha-Mba have urged Ndi Anambra to vote for candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in this Saturday’s House of Assembly election to enable Governor Chukwuma Soludo fulfill all his promises to the people of the state. The Commissioners made the call when they spoke to the women’s wing and youth wing of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, and members of the Youth organizations amongst other support groups at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Center in Awka.

* Palpable fear has allegedly Anambra gripped non-Labour Party (LP) candidates eyeing Anambra State House of Assembly following the 25 February 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections in which LP swept the polls in both elections. Recall that LP took two out of the three Senatorial seats and most of the Green House seats which has since the victory, put the non LP candidates in fear as the 11thas March Governorship and House of Assembly elections approach.

* A priest in the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, Rev. Fr. Innocent Acho-Egbunike has tasked Christians on steadfastness in their faith as they face the sufferings, trials or ordeals in life. Rev. Fr. Acho-Egbunike, who spoke on the Purpose of Abraham’s Transfiguration of Jesus Christ, noted that great men of God in the Bible like Abraham experienced difficulties and ordeals but later enjoyed the dividends.

* The Chairman of General Old Motor Spare Parts Okpoko popularly known as Mgbuka Amazu in Ogbaru LGA, Anambra State, Mr. Francis Emibe has urged all the traditional rulers,It various community President general and stakeholders to join hands and campaign for the next week State House of Assembly election in the State. He warned that Ndi Anambra should not fold their arms and allow oppositions take over government house again.

* The emergence of currency redesign, naira swap and cashless policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has continued to have negative impact on citizens especially those doing businesses in Anambra State. Ndi-Anambra are becoming more frustrated amid the naira scarcity since the CBN’s decision to redesign the notes of the three largest naira denominations: N200, N500 and 1,000. Citizens have been spending their productive hours queuing in banks to access the new naira notes from the Automated Teller Machines (ATM). Queues for withdrawal of the new N1,000, N500 and N200 notes from ATMs have persisted in various banks in Awka Metropolis causing hardships for residents.

* The Managing Director, Anambra State Waste Management Authority, ASWAMA, Mr. Mike Ozoemena has urged Ndi Anambra to desist from dumping their refuse on the roads and drainage channels. Mr. Ozoemena, while speaking in Awka stressed that proper waste disposal is essential for maintenance of clean environment. He noted that dumping refuse in drainages obstructs free flow of water and advised the public to eschew indiscriminate disposal of wastes because of its negative effects on the environment.

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has appealed to people of the state to vote for candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the upcoming March 11th, 2023, State House of Assembly elections. He said6 voting for APGA candidates during the election would help him sustain the tempo of development across the twenty-one Local Government Areas of the State. Soludo made the appeal through his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Christian Aburime while speaking to Journalists in Awka, in preparation ahead of next Saturday’s House of Assembly election in the State.

* The APGA Candidate For Onitsha North 2 Constituency State House of Assembly Hon. Dr Barr Harold Chiedu Ekwerekwu took his message of effective representation to Odongilisi Community in Ward 12 Onitsha North Constituency 2 in continuation of his Campaign Ward tour across the seven political wards in his Constituency. It was indeed a home coming for Hon. Barr Harold Chiedu Ekwerekwu as the residents of Odongilisi Community trooped out en-masse to receive him and his campaign team with assurance that they will come out en-masse on Saturday 11th March to Vote for him as they did for His Excellency Mr Peter Obi.
