* Anambra Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Tony-Collins Nwabunwanne has said the state is blessed with abundant natural resources whose full potential are yet to be tapped, hence the interaction with communities to identify their investment potential is vital. Nwabunwanne, while speaking in Awka during an event recently, stated that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is aimed at identifing and promoting investment opportunities in the state.
* The Catholic Bishop of Aguleri Diocese, Most Rev Denis isizoh has administered the sacrament of confirmation to two hundred and fifty parishoners at St Theresa Catholic Church umunya in Oyi LGA of Anambra state. In his homily, the bishop charged the new recipients of the sacrament of confirmation to avoid sin, as they are carrying double anointing and to do the right thing always, by rejecting the devil and his vain glory.

* The Minister of Health of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is to launch the Anambra State Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System today Thursday. Disclosing it to journalists in Awka, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Ben Afam Obidike, stated that the ministry has conducted trainings for health personnel on how to operate Anambra State Ambulance System when it is launched.
* Anambra Central traditional rulers led by Igwe Akweze, Christopher Okpala have donated two million naira to support Anambra state government in ensuring security of the state and assisting flood victims. ANN reports that the traditional rulers made the presentation when they paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the State Goveenment (SSG), Professor Solo Chukwulobelu at the Government House, Awka.
