* The Soludo Solidarity Group has responded to a statement attributed to the former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, urging Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to pay severance allowances to his former staff. The group described Obiano’s suggestion as not only ‘wicked and unthoughtful’ but also ‘self-indicting.
* Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Anambra State Council, Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, has stated without equivocations that the government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo does not partner journalists in the state.
Odogwu who made this statement at a one-day conference tagged” Investigative Journalism: Leadership, Accountability And Stewardship For Sustainable Development ” held at the Godwin Ezeemo International Press Centre Awka, said there was need for the present administration to carry journalists along to enable them report accurately government policies, programmes and projects.
* Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, through his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, has responded to the claims by the All Progressives Congress that the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance will die a natural death in 2025. Aburime, while speaking in his office at the Government House Awka, said the APC state chairman Mr. Basil Ejidike, spoke from the figment of his own imagination because no such thing would ever happen in 2025.
* The National Women Leader of APGA Barrister Mrs. Lizzy Nwokeocha, along with the state women leaders from the Southeast and South-south regions of Nigeria, convened at the APGA Regional Secretariat in Awka for a strategic meeting aimed at propelling APGA to new heights. * Responding to Anambra Governor’s Chief Press Secretary Mr Christian Aburime’s statement against Anambra state APC, Hon Jideofor Ejimofor the youth leader of the national rulling APC noted that APGA and Soludo must vacate the Agu-awka government house come 2025 for doing more harm than good. According to Ejimofor, we have never had it so bad in this state, people sleeps with one eyes open at night over insecurity and the fear of the unknown, no meaningful infrastructural development while the professor- governor and his attack dogs like christian Aburime goes about looking for who to abuse and malign on social media.
* The Transition Committee Chairman of Aguata Local Government Area, Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike, joined the Council Member representing Akpo Ward, Engr. Chibuike Udeozor, at his official certificate handling ceremony to the beneficiaries of his scholarship scheme. In support of the gesture, the TC Chairman instantly offered scholarship covering free tuition to thirty more pupils.
* The Oyi Local Government Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, Hon. Harold Umunna Maduka has commenced renovation of APGA party secretariat Nteje Oyi. Maduka stated that he is renovating the secretariat to support the giant strides of Governor Charles Soludo and to create a conductive environment that would engender productivity.

* All is set as twenty two teams are ready to take part in the first ‘Ife Igbo’ peace football competition in Awka, the Anambra capital. ANN gathered that the opening game will kickoff at the Awka Township Stadium while the group games will take place at Ayom na Okpala and All Saints Anglican Church football fields. Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Mr Osita Onuko, sponsor of the competition said the football fiesta was meant to foster unity and engender peace among Awka villages.
* Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police, AIG Godwin Ndidi Aghaulor, has assumed duty at Zone thirteen, Ukpo, comprising Anambra and Enugu State respectively. ANN reports that Aghaulor succeeded AIG Tony Olofu, sequel to his retirement from active service. At the commands headquaters in Ukpo, Dunukofia local government area of Anambra state, Aghaulor was received by top police officers in the command.
* * The Anambra State Governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo has said his father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo, will buried “in strict compliance with the Anambra burial laws. No fanning of ego .” The Governor spoke after receiving a condolence letter from members of the State Executive Council (ANSEC), delivered by the Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim and the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu.
