#The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Nkem Udeze, over the weekend hosted members of the Soludo–Ibezim Campaign Organization, Ogbaru Chapter, to appreciate their exceptional work and to review the outcomes of last week’s governorship election.

Addressing the team, the Speaker expressed profound gratitude for their unwavering commitment in representing the Governor and Deputy Governor in Ogbaru, standing firmly for their good works, their character, and the truth, as they have always done.

Reviewing the election results, Mr. Speaker thanked all stakeholders across party lines who worked tirelessly to achieve this shared victory. He assured them that this renewed mandate for the Solution Government will translate into even greater development, accessibility, and opportunities for the people of Ogbaru.

He further congratulated everyone who contributed in any capacity and extended heartfelt appreciation to the voters, whose continued trust in the Solution Government remains a powerful endorsement of progress.

# Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Anambra State, under the anointed spiritual leadership of Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma (Ebube Muonso), has declared a 7-Day Prayer for Unusual Miracles, a prophetic season where God rewrites stories and releases testimonies that defy human understanding.

The program is an online programs which starts Monday, 17th November 2025, and ends Sunday, 23rd November 2025.

This seven-day spiritual journey is designed as a moment of deep intercession, repentance, and prophetic declaration. It is a call to believers to seek the God of unusual miracles—the God who steps into situations and rewrites destinies by His power.

# The traditional ruler of Uke community,
Igwe Charles Agballah has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his historic re-election for a second term in office in the November 8th governorship election in the state.

A press statement issued in Awka by Igwe Agballah, appreciated the Anambra electorate for reciprocating his magnanimity in developing all sectors of the economy in the 3 Senatorial Zones of the state.

The royal father expressed delight that the governor has proved to many doubting Thomases that true success is earned through hard work.

He commended the people of Uke community for making a bold statement through their votes during the election and urged them to keep supporting the government of the day.

Igwe Agballah pledged the Unalloyed and unwavering support of the people of Uke to Governor Soludo’s purposeful administration.

# The Chairman of Orumba South LGA, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike, has described the victory of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo in last Saturday’s election as well deserved.

In his congratulatory message to Prof. Soludo, Hon Azubuike said the victory of the governor was a reflection of the trust the people have in him.

Anambra State Governor had in the election polled over 400,000 votes to beat 15 other candidates, with the closest being the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, who polled a little less than 100,000 votes.

#  The Majority Leader of the 8th assembly and lawmaker representing Ekwusigo state constituency Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme, says there is no autonomy whatsoever in the Anambra State House of Assembly.

Ofodeme said that the 8th assembly has passed the House of Assembly Legislative Service Commission Law and that for autonomy to exist, the commission must be in existence.

The lawmaker said that it is only the commission that grants other aspects of autonomy. According to him, the staff of the House of Assembly are being managed by the Head of Service,who is working for the Executive arm of the government.

But he was of the opinion that when the full autonomy would come, the  legislative service commission would be in charge of employing, determining salaries and other issues concerning House of Assembly workers in Anambra State.

# The Anambra State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has restated its firm opposition to any form of tenure elongation for national officers and any attempt to alter the constitutionally recognised youth age bracket of 18–35 years.

The chapter had earlier, in September 2025, publicly rejected the proposed Tenure Elongation Congress held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, which sought to extend the youth age limit to 45 years, an action they described as unconstitutional.

A previous statement jointly signed by former State Chairmen Chief Obumnike Asuzu, Dr. Nwabufo Nwankwo, Comrade Frank Maduka, and the incumbent Chairman, Comrade Surveyor Obi Emeka Chukwudi, had also congratulated former NYCN National President Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo on completing his second term.

However, following the congress, Sukubo reportedly announced the suspension of Obi as Anambra State Chairman and attempted to impose an acting chairman—an action Obi described as illegal.

# The Principal, staff, and students of Community Secondary School, Ebenato, in Nnewi South LGA have expressed gratitude to Sir. Samuel Uzochukwu for his sustained sponsorship of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) fees for all Senior Secondary 3 students of the school from 2019 to date.

The school, in a formal appreciation letter, signed by the Principal , Mrs. Beatrice Nkiru Ezeonugo, commended the renowned academic for his exceptional generosity and steadfast commitment to education, describing his benevolence as a rare gesture that has continued to transform the lives of students, uplift struggling families, and promote academic excellence in the community.

According to the school authorities, Prof. Uzochukwu’s annual sponsorship of WAEC fees has relieved many parents of financial hardship, inspired renewed enthusiasm among students, and contributed significantly to the rise in student enrollment over the years. They further praised his consistency, noting that he has sustained the initiative as a personal obligation to humanity and to the future of young people in his community.

# The Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), Federal Polytechnic Oko branch, has celebrated distinguished leaders and committed union members during the Regular Meeting of the Polytechnics and Other Trade Group Council of NASU.

The event, held at the Polytechnic Auditorium, Extension Site, was attended by chairmen, secretaries and treasurers from NASU branches in Polytechnics, Colleges of Agriculture, and Allied Institutions nationwide.

Key stakeholders that received the Merit Award of Excellence in Leadership include the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Polytechnic, Senator Barnabas Gemade (OFR), who was represented by Dr. Egwuchukwu Ifensor, a senior staff of the polytechnic.

Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Dr Chioma Irene Awuzie, was also honoured with Merit Award for Excellent Leadership for her exemplary leadership, dedication and service to the polytechnic and humanity in general.
