* Anambra State Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo decided to pay a trip to Olumbanasa, a community hidden in Anambra West Council Area of Anambra State. ANN gathered that the trip which was by boat; lasted for more than two hours on the Niger river. The boats navigated through open waters, past beautiful islands, and along picturesque shorelines. Soludo who mounted keke through the bush paths, to all his destinations within the community, said he chose to go by boat; for him to appreciate what ndị Anambra leaving there, go through on a daily basis.

* The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has extended warm felicitations to Prince Engr. Dr. Arthur Eze on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

Barr. Ezeokenwa described Prince Engr. Arthur Eze as “a great philanthropist and a cheerful giver.” His generous support to institutions, communities, and individuals has made a significant impact and is truly commendable.

* Anambra State legislator, Hon. Patrick Obalum Udoba who is the flag-bearer of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the 2023 election has been declared winner by the Court of Appeals siting in Lagos. The Court affirmed Udoba’s as the duly elected member representing Anambra West Constituency as was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In its ruling, the court dismissed the petition of Mr. Chukwuemeka Omaremi of the Labour Party who contested the election.

* Oyi Local Government Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance Hon. Harold Maduka has congratulated Anambra State APGA Chairman, Chief Sir Ifeatu Obi-Okoye on the conferment of the title of “Igiligi Inwenlle” by His Royal Majesty, Igwe Alexander Uzodinma. In a congratulatory message, Hon. Maduka described the conferment of the title on Chief Obi-Okoye as a clear commitment to his contribution towards the development of the community.

* A philanthropist Chief Abuchi Attah, the CEO and Founder of ABU Mmaduaburochukwu Foundation, has paid a scheduled visit to selected widows at the Umudioka Village Hall, Awka. Attah affirmed that widows get special attention in his foundation because of the stigmatisation many of them are subjected to.

According Attah, he will continue to strive to bring succour to as many widows as possible, by empowering and providing them with basic needs.

* The Anambra State Leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has paid a familiarization visit to the Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia LGA, Mr. Onyemaobi Augustine Nonyelum in his office at the Council’s Secretariat, Ukpo. The State Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emeka Udodeme who led the visit commended the LG Chairman for all his effort towards localizing Solution agenda in Dunukofia, charging him to keep up the good work. Chief Udodeme while speaking pleaded for the Chairman’s assistance towards building a vibrant Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Dunukofia LGA. He ceased the opportunity to ask for the following on behalf of Dunukofia Chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo; support for monthly meetings, provision of a convenient place for the meetings, donation of land for the already proposed Ohanaeze Ndigbo Hall of Fame, and good relationship with their LG executives.

* Anambra Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma says 

next year (2024) will be full time uninterrupted, speedy construction. Engr. Okoma while speaking during the 2024 budget draft estimate defense, bilateral discussion revealed that the present administration lead by Governor Chukwuma Soludo have awarded close to 400 kilometers of road and have paid about 34 billion (42 percent). The commissioner spoke on road interventions currently on-going, stating that Onitsha will be revived. He maintained that payments depends on progress of work and that next year, urban regeneration will be focused more.

* Anambra State Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka during a ceremony at his Aguleri-Otu residence, handed over comprehensive football sporting kits to the youth leaders of Anambra East Wards.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner said beyond the objective of bolstering sports within the local government, his primary goal is also to foster a sense of camaraderie and mutual understanding among the youth across the various communities of Anambra East.

* Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State, has said that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), established in 1973 to promote unity and development remains the only national scheme still keeping Nigeria together. The governor disclosed this while commending the Scheme for it continues effort in promoting peace, unity and development across tribes, ethics and religions that constitute Nigeria.
