* A non-governmental organization, Peace Fund has visited Anambra State and familiarized with the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor in Awka.
According to the Chairman of the fund, Chief Daniel Akwari, the NGO is the brainchild of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Right Honourable Benjamin Kalu, founded in the aftermath of the killing of five soldiers in Abia State and subsequent donation to support their families.
Chief Akwari further explained that the organization seeks to support families of security officials who died in active service as a result of the current security challenge in the country.
Responding, Commissioner Mefor commended Right Honourable Kalu for the initiative and called for more financial support to the fund.
* Police-led Anti-Sit-Home Joint patrol with Anambra Vigilante Operatives has burst a notorious criminal gang of three in Nkwelle – Ezunaka, 3-3 area, arrest two of the armed suspects and declared the other popularly known as ‘Akada’ wanted over armed robbery, illegal possession of firearm and enforcement of illegal Sit-at-Home.
The Operatives recovered one English made pistol and other incriminating items.
According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga,
Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, the suspects include one Chinedu Amah and Prince Nwogu all males and residents in Nkwelle – Ezunaka.
They were arrested during a hot chase by the Operatives after the victim raised an alarm about how they held him at gunpoint and dispossessed him of his iPhone and other personal belongings.
* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has extended his warm congratulations to Prince Engr. Arthur Eze, on the occasion of his 76th birthday
Soludo, in his congratulatory message,
signed by Mr. Christian Aburime, Press Secretary to the Governor, described Arthur Eze as a great son of Ndigbo and an outstanding business mogul who has consistently remained a role model for emulation

* Mega City Fair an independent organisation specialized in the promotion and marketing of Made-In-Nigeria products and services is set to storm Anambra State for her first ever trade fair in the state with vendors from all over the country.
The 3-Day mega trade fair which begins on Friday 29th November and ends on 1st December 2024, will take place at the Onitsha Shopping Mall Shoprite with glitz and glamour as local manufacturers showcase their products and services to the rest of the world.
The Mega City Fair trade exhibition which has been endorsed by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and powered by the Onitsha-North Local Government, will also serve as a platform to empower small scale industrialists and manufacturers with very low capital base.
* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been praised for providing a model of standardized bus terminals and improved travel experience within the city.
The commuters and commercial bus drivers praised Anambra State government for the ongoing standardization of bus terminals in major cities.
They gave the commendation in Awka while assessing the newly built Solution Bus Terminal at Arroma Junction in Awka, noting that irregular loading spots pose huge safety risks to road users.
* Police Operatives attached to 3:3 Police Divisional headquaters led by CSP Emeka Obi acting on credible information, arrested one Enediong Bassey ‘M’ 25yrs a native of Ikono LGA of Akwa Ibom State and recovered one Pump action gun wrapped in a bag of rice at Nkwelle – Ezunaka.
Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to being a member of a security outfit/vigilante and was about to escape with the gun to join his criminal gang, for armed robbery and other unpatriotic activities.
Following other complaints and unprofessional conduct by some security outfits and vigilante members, the Commissioner Of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam in line with the principles of Community Policing reiterates the calls for profiling of security operatives assisting the Police and other security agencies on anti-crime operations to improve safety in the State.
* The Zonal Police Public Relations Officer of Zone 13, SP Josephine Ihunwo, has been awarded the prestigious titles of Best Woman Police Officer of the Year 2024 and Outstanding Well-Dressed Officer of the Year 2024.
The awards were presented by Pechilly Investigative Media in collaboration with World Peace Advocate at a special ceremony held today at the Zone 13 Police Command Headquarters in Ukpo.
The event drew an array of dignitaries, media representatives, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate Ihunwo’s remarkable achievements.
SP Ihunwo triumphed over a competitive field, garnering an impressive margin of 19,000 votes for the Best Woman Police Officer award and 10,000 votes for the Outstanding Well-Dressed Officer accolade.
* Anambra Joint Security Forces are on the offensive for possible rescue unhurt of three abducted victims and arrest of the Abductors on Tuesday at Innoson motorcycle showroom along Owerri Road, Nnewi.
According to Ikenga, the Police Command is determined and is already working with information obtained from the scene for the ongoing rescue operations.

* The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has described Prince Arthur Eze as one of the most prominent Igbo business magnets whose spirit of philanthropy is second to none.

* The Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Province of the Niger has ended it’s 2024 Anglican Prayer Rally for all Anglicans in Anambra State better known as (APRAS) at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, with a prayer session for Anambra State Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his team.
The Archbishop of the Province of the Niger, Most Rev. Alexander Ibezim, who led the prayer summit thanked Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, represented by Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, for efforts to enhance security and welfare in the state.
