* The chairman Anambra State Amalgamated Traders Association ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anuna and his state executives has inaugurated the newly reconstituted caretaker executives of Aguleri Junction Timber, Building Materials and Accessories Dealers Association at the ASMATA Head office Onitsha. Speaking during the inauguration, Chief Anuna commend the executives to work as a team, transparent and accountable which according to him will help them achieve immeasurable feat together. He assured them of ASMATA and state government support in resolving as obstacles or challenge in the market.

* Justice Ismail Ijelu of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja has ordered the arrest of the Chairman of Ibeto Energy Development Company, Cletus Ibeto, for allegedly refusing to appear in court for his fraud Trial. The EFCC had charged the defendant alongside his companies, Ibeto Energy Development Company and Odoh Holdings Ltd, over an alleged N4.8 billion fraud.

The anti-graft agency filed a 10-count charge of conspiracy, fraud, forgery, and fraudulent use of documents.

* Governor of Anambra State Professor Chukwuma Soludo has commiserate with 

the Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South Local Government, Prince Neville Uchendu

as he buries his father. Soludo praised late Nze John Uchendu’s impactful life and pledged to continue improving the lives of Ndị Anambra through infrastructure development. ANN reports that the late Nze Uchendu is survived by 14 children, 33 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren.

* Former Managing Director of the Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency (ANSAA) Dr. Jude Okechukwu Emecheta, has stated in very strong terms that nobody can stop Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo from getting a second term in office. The former ANSAA, MD who spoke in Awka, said apart from Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige, Soludo is another Anambra governor who have mesmerized the citizenry with very outstanding performance in his first term. 

* The Court of Appeal sitting has affirmed Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah as the winner of the 2023 Anambra South Senatorial District Election. The court delivering judgement on the appeals filed by the Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chris Azubogu, Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chris Uba and Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Obinna Uzor. The appellate court upheld the ruling of the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal, Awka and dismissed the appeals filed by APGA, PDP and LP candidates for lack of merit.

* Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has award contract for renovation/rehabilitation of ministry of Justice Zonal Offices (Phase 1) and massive statewide reactivation/rehabilitation of water schemes. In a press release signed by Anambra State Commissioner for Information Sir Paul Nwosu, the intervention is intended to avail the Zonal Offices, outstations and their staff a befitting and conducive working environment through a modest but effective renovation and rehabilitation that shall correct years of hapless neglect by past governments.

* The highly anticipated 2023 Rector Unity Cup Competition of Federal Polytechnic Oko in

Orumba North Local Government, Anambra state has commenced. * The member representing Idemili North/ South Federal Constituency, Hon. Uchenna Okonkwo has welcomed Hon. Kingsley Udemezue, the lawmaker representating Idemili North at the Anambra State House of Assembly, to his constituency office in Abuja. During the courtesy visit, Udemezue provided a comprehensive overview of his ongoing initiatives in Idemili North while humbly seeking additional support from Hon. Okonkwo.

* A stakeholder, Social Critic and Public Affair Analyst, Azowue Emmanuel, has dispelled a story making the rounds that the Supreme Court had recently resolved a land dispute between Abba and Ukpo communities in Anambra State, in favour of Ukpo. Writing on the subject matter, Azowue described the claim as false and deceitful, stating that at the appropriate time, the Abba community would take appropriate legal action against the reporter and publisher of the falsehood.

* The TC Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, Mr. Thankgod Anago, has flagged off the distribution of writing materials to pupils and students in the schools across the ten communities that make up the council area. In a brief remark during the commencement of the first phase of the exercise, which commenced at Egede Primary School, Achalla, Mr Anago stated that the gesture is one among his promises to support students
