* Members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in southeastern Nigeria have reaffirmed their unwavering support for the party’s Founder, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, and the current National Working Committee (NWC) led by His Excellency, Agbo Major. The members avowed this unreserved solidarity during the southeast regional conference of the party held in Awka, which attracted the leadership and stakeholders of the party from the five states of the region.
* Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike said Awkuzu General Hospital in Oyi Local Government Area offers Neurosurgical services. Dr. Obidike while speaking during his visit at the hospital with some medical experts reiterated the commitment of Govy Chukwuma Soludo in ensuring that Ndi Anambra receives quality and affordable care from government owned hospitals. According to him, the hospital has modern medical equipment with a serene environment and is powered with solar.
* Senator Uche Ekwunife the Director-General of the South East Governors Forum, has extended her warm congratulations to President Bola Tinubu following the recent affirmation of his electoral victory by the Supreme Court of Nigeria. The former Senator conveyed her sincere appreciation of the Supreme Court’s decision, highlighting that it serves as a resounding endorsement of the trust placed in President Tinubu by Nigerian voters in the last presidential election. She emphasized that his leadership as the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria is now more steadfast than ever. Furthermore, Senator Ekwunife underscored President Tinubu’s renewed “hope agenda” for a prosperous nation, a vision that resonates with the aspirations of a majority of Nigerians.
* Anambra Commissioner for Environment Hon. Felix Odimegwu has charged engineers in the state to stand up to the demands of their profession to put an end to incessant building collapse across the state. Odimegwu gave the charge in Awka, during the closing ceremony cum induction of students to mark the 2023 Civil Engineering Week organised by the Nigeria Institute of Civil Engineers, NICE, Awka Chapter.

* The Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze has enjoined various religious bodies in the State to continue to pray for Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration to enable more development and sustainable peace to thrive in the State. Speaking at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka during the tenth edition of the Annual Anglican Prayer Rally, Right Honourable Udeze commended the organizers of the event, adding that the annual prayer has continued to address series of problems in the State. The Speaker who introduced every Tuesday morning prayer in the State Legislature, described prayer as key to righteousness and success.
* member of the Board of Trustees, BoT, of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Anambra State and a Grand Patron of the party, Chief Maja Umeh, has dismissed the recent defection of the senator representing Anambra South, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah from the Young Progressives Party, YPP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the alleged positioning of Mr. Val Ozigbo as the likely candidate of the Labour Party, LP, ahead of the 2025 governorship election in the state, as no threat to APGA.
Although the next governorship election in the state is still more than two years away, a lot of horse trading has already begun, with both APC and LP strategizing to uproot APGA from 20 years of governance in the state.
* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has extends his deepest condolences to the Tansi International College community, their grieving students, as well as the bereaved families who have lost their beloved three children following the devastating effects of electrostatic discharge from lightening that unfolded on the school grounds in Anambra State.
The deceased include sixtern-year old Obi Francis Chukwunwuike from Nteje, Anambra State, sixteen-year old Obeta Michael Uchechukwu from Nsukka, Enugu State and nineteen-year old Usulor Chidubem Emmanuel from Ezza, Ebonyi State.
* The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), on behalf of all our State Chapters and members has commiserate with the National Leader of the Party and Governor of Anambra State Professor Chukwuma Soludo and the entire Soludo family on the demise of their Father. In a release signed by the National Publicity Secretary Mazi Ejimofor Okpara reads; This loss is personal and we stand firm with the Soludos in this moment of grief. The party urges them to find solace in the fact that Papa lived a fulfilled life evident in the quality of children he raised.
