* Students of College of Nursing sciences, Saint Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital, Onitsha, have been charged to be disciplined and passionate while attending yo patients. The Proprietor of the College, Most Reverend Dr. Valerian Okeke gave the charge during the matriculation and caping ceremony of over one hundred students of the college at the school podium.

* Mr. Osita Onuko, the Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, has assured that his agency will maintain active partnership with the Anambra State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists for effective development. Mr Onuko gave the assurance when the executive members of the state NUJ paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Awka.
* The Chairman Caretaker Committee of Ogbo-Ogwu Bridge Head market Union, Onitsha, Mr. Ndubuisi Chukwuleta, has commended the quality service rendered at the Onitsha market medical outreach organized by the leadership of the market. This commendation came when he paid a thank-you visit to the Hospital Administrator (HA), Dr. Innocent Umeakunne in his office in Enugwu Ukwu.
* Officials of the Solution Community Shield Football Championship have made it categorically clear that the grassroots football competition which began officially on Sunday 8th October, 2023 at the Awka Township Stadium is not for political campaigns but to use the competition to harness talents and groom them for professional football. The grassroots football championship which is sponsored by the Anambra State Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, is one of the numerous veritable means Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo is engaging youths meaningfully to rediscover themselves as well as rewrite their stories.Â
* Anambra State House of Assembly has commenced verification of the audited account of the twenty-one local government areas in Anambra State for the year 2022 to encourage transparency. The Chairman House Committee on public account Hon. Noble Igwe speaking during their meeting with the top officials of Anaocha local government area, explained that the essence of the meeting was to ascertain how local governments expended the funds allocated to them in 2022 and to figure out if it is in conformity with required standards.
* The cold war between Chairman Anambra Internal Revenue Services AiRS Dr. Greg Ezeilo and the Executive Director Operations, Dr Christian Madubuko got messier last week when Ezeilo issued a query to Madubuko. Since the appointment of the duo by governor Charles Soludo last year,there has been a cold war  over the operation of revenue generation and  revenue profile of the state. They have been  accusing each other of misappropriation and highjacking their respective duties.
* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has sworn in Mr. Okafor Izuchukwu Moses as the newly appointed Anambra Commissioner for Finance.Â
Performing the function which was held at the Exco Chambers, Government House Awka, Governor Soludo congratulated the new Commissioner and welcomed him as a member of the Anambra State Executive Council.Â
* Mrs Nonye Soludo Anambra Governor’s wife and founder of Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative has launched healthy living sanitary pad banks in over four hundred secondary schools in Anambra State where the healthy living school clubs are currently operating.
Mrs Soludo made the announcement when she hosted female secondary school students at the Governor’s Lodge, Awawbia at an event to mark this year’s International Day of the Girl Child.
* The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Anambra State Chapter has elected a new executive council. The new executive council was elected during the association’s ninth quadrennial delegate state conference in Awka, Anambra state capital. The election which was conducted electronically, saw Mrs. Edith Onwuka, the incumbent chairman of the association who ran unopposed returned elected with 47 votes, Helen Okeke emerged as the Vice Chairman of the association with 47 votes, Jane Okeke won the office of the State Treasurer with 46 votes, Helen Onwudiwe won the position of the State Financial Secretary with 46 votes, while the State Public Relations Officer, Genevieve Ezenwuba won with 46 votes among other elective posts.
