* Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works has visited the the proposed site of Solution Fun City, Awka in to observe the ungoing project. Addressing journalists after oversighting the project, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Emma Nwafor observed that the project is still at earth work stage and directed the construction Firm to stick to specifications as they will write their report about the project and submit it to Anambra State House of Assembly.

* The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), has commenced training of 150 youths on table-fish production business in Anambra State. The flagged off ceremony took place at the Anambra State Fisheries and Aquaculture Business Development Agency (FABDA) conference hall, along Enugu-Onitsha highway Awka. Speaking to journalists shortly after the event, Mr Emeka Martins Iloghalu, the Managing Director, Anambra State Fisheries and Aquaculture Business Development Agency (FABDA) and the programme coordinator in the state, said the training is expected to last for eight weeks and a total of 58, 768 US dollars with be used to execute the training project in the state.
* Hon. Okwaji Chidike has emerged as the new Chairman of Nimo Community Youth Wing after defeating Mr. Edozie Ugochukwu Ngukor. According to the result signed by of the Chairman Electoral Committee Hon. Anthony Aniedobe, made available to ANN, Okwaji Chidike had 780 Votes, Edozie Ugochukwu Ngukor got 28 Votes while Ajagu Chukwunoso, stepped down.
*The Anambra State House of Assembly has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo on the massive infrastructural development that are simultaneously ongoing in Fegge, Onitsha South one Constituency. The member representing Onitsha South One Constituency Hon. Frederick Chigozie Ezenwa who sponsored the motion stated that Urban Boys Secondary School Fegge which has suffered great setbacks over the years due to the absence of enough infrastructure is currently being relocated temporarily to Bridge Head Housing Estate, Fegge. According to Ezenwa, the establishment of a modern General Hospital and Maternity project is about to commence at the designated location in the heart of Fegge, Onitsha.
* Bida Street Market will on Wednesday square up with their counterparts from Kano Street Market both in Onitsha in the football event of the ongoing Anambra Traders Sports Competition. ANN reports that a win for either side will see them make it through to the state finals from the Onitsha Market Zone 1 group of the competition. According to the fixtures released by Chijioke Onyedika, secretary of the technical team, the match will take place at the Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium by 4pm.
* The Acting National Youth Leader of Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth wing worldwide, Maazi Chukwuma Okpalezeukwu has called on Igbo youths to unite and bring back the glory days of the region for a greater tomorrow. Speaking in Awka recently, Maazi Okpalezeukwu said that Igbo youths are known for their intelligence, entrepreneurial spirit, doggedness and the spirit of oneness, and appealed to them to unite and fight for the peace and stability of the region. The Ohaneze Ndigbo National Youth Leader regretted that some mischief makers and enemies of Ndigbo are using some gullible minds in the region to cause civil unrest and destabilize the once bubbling economic activities of the Southeast zone.
* Anambra State House of Assembly has called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to mandate the Chairman, Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS) to continue the streamlining of the processes of billing and easy collection of taxes and accountability as well as to collaborate with media houses on continuous public awareness on tax. Chief sponsor of the motion Hon. Chidi Ibemeka in his submission stated that in view of numerous projects being carried out by the Soludo administration, there is need for concerted effort to grow the internally generated revenue of the state.
* Residents of Anambra State are hereby informed that the usual and reinvigorated monthly environmental Sanitation exercise will hold on Saturday October 28th 2023. In a press release signed by Mr. Mike Ozoemena MD/CEO ASWAMA, the exercise will hold simultaneously in all the communities in Anambra State within the hours of 7am – 10am, and no form of vehicular or human movement will be tolerated within these hours. Transition Committee Chairmen (TCC) of various Local Government Areas are enjoined to ensure proper mobilization and compliance in their areas.
