# Governor Charles Soludo received overwhelming support from residents of fifteen wards in Onitsha North during a mega rally for his reelection on November 8.

The Governor thanked the people for their loyalty, describing the massive turnout as proof of their confidence in his leadership and commitment to Anambra’s progress.

He highlighted key projects, including the Trans Nkisi and Akpaka Roads, as well as the revitalization of public water schemes, while reaffirming his pledge to credible and transparent elections.

Top officials, including Tony Nworah, Patrick Aghamba, and Barrister Mimi Azikiwe, commended his developmental strides, as the rally concluded with a ₦31.3 million donation in support of his reelection campaign.

 

 

# The Anambra State Police Command confirms an attempted armed attack on Ezinifite Community, Nnewi South Local Government Area.

The attack was successfully repelled following a swift response and resistance from combined security team of the Police and Agunechamba Vigilante Operatives in the area.

According to a press release by SP. Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, the Joint Security Team engaged the assailants in a gunfire exchange, leading to the neutralization of one (1) of the attackers, while the others escaped into a surrounding bush with suspected bullet injuries.

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State, CP Ikioye Orutugu commended the vigilance and bravery of the local security architecture and assured residents that the Command remains fully committed to securing all communities, especially as the November 8, 2025 Governorship Election approaches”. Ikenga stated

# The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Anambra State Chapter, joins the rest of the world to commemorate the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child with the theme: “The Girl I Am, The Change I Need: Girls on the Frontline of Crisis.”

The event is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 29th October 2025, at Godwin Ezeemo International Press Centre, Awka, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

# The Aguata Frontline Media Influencers (AFMI) has conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the newly reconstructed steps at the historic Ezeokolo Stream in Achina.

The project, facilitated by the Member representing Aguata one Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Anayo Okpalaeke, was visited by the influential group to ascertain the quality, impact, and utility of the development for the people of Achina and its environs.

The inspection tour revealed a significant infrastructural upgrade to the once-dilapidated steps.

The new steps are expected to ease the daily struggles of community members who rely on the stream, particularly women and the elderly.

 

# High Chief Innocent Mmaduabuchi Akpuaka has declared his full support for the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim.

Speaking during the APGA Njikoka Campaign Team visit to Abba, he stated clearly that Abba is solidly behind the Solution Government, describing the community as a true APGA stronghold.

Chief Akpuaka assured that Abba will come out in large numbers on November 8 to vote massively for APGA. He emphasized that the election day is very important and will not be taken for granted.

According to him, the good works of Prof. Soludo must continue, and supporting APGA is the only way to ensure more development reaches the people of Abba and beyond.

# The re-election campaign for the Governor Chukwuma Soludo gathered renewed momentum as the Njikoka Campaign Train stormed Nawfia community in a grand rally to mobilize grassroots support for his second-term bid under the banner of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The campaign event, which attracted a large turnout of party faithful, community leaders, youth groups, and women organizations, was led by Chief Nduka Okoye, Chairman Campaign team Njikoka LGA and Vice Chairman APGA Anambra Central alongside top APGA stakeholders, ward chairmen, and members of the Solution Support Group.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd at the Nwafia Civic Centre, Mayor of Njikoka, Barr. Chinedu Ononiba described Governor Soludo as “a performing leader whose transformational policies and infrastructural strides have redefined governance in Anambra State.”

Ononiba urged residents of Nawfia and the entire Njikoka LGA to remain steadfast in their support, ensuring a resounding victory for APGA and Governor Soludo in the forthcoming November 8, 2025 Governorship Election.

Speaking at the event, The Deputy Chief of Staff and Protocol to Governor Soludo, Chief Chinedu Nwoye (Glamour), assured the campaign team of massive mobilisation across all wards, promising door-to-door voter sensitization and PVC follow-ups to ensure full participation in the election.

Hon. Commissioner for Budget and economic planning in Anambra State, Mrs Chiamaka Nnake, called on Ndi Nawfia to continue to support APGA government for the visible improvement and development seen in the community are possible because of APGA government. She promised a cash gift for any polling booth (ward 1 &2) that has the highest vote in the forthcoming governorship election come November 8th, 2025.

# Ahead of the Anambra State governorship election slated for November 8th 2025, the people of Agulu community in Anaocha LGA have unanimously endorsed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for a second term in office

Speaking during APGA rally held at Nneogidi Primary School, Agulu, the Convener and Grand Patron of Azachaa Oruchie Movement for Soludo, Chief Chukwuma Okonkwo, assured that APGA will win in all the political wards of Agulu come November 8th as the party deserves their massive votes because the Governor has done fantastically well in all sectors, including restoration of security to Anambra State.

In his remark, the Anambra State Chief of Protocol, Hon. Chinedu Nwoye, revealed that Governor Soludo has done a lot to transform the Golden Tulip, Agulu to be the headquarters of fun.

Nwoye who is also the Deputy Chief of Staff, maintained that Soludo constructed dual carriage lane from Amawbia down to Uga, which transversed through Agulu, as well as moved Fruit and Vegetable market in the community to a safer place to deserve the people’s massive votes come November eight.

 

# The Chairman of Anambra Cricket Association (ACA) Chairman, Mr. Chuma Anosike has been nominated for Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Diamond Jubilee National Award at the 60th anniversary and award ceremony.

A letter of nomination signed by Ikenna Okonkwo Secretary General of SWAN said Anosike was nominated for his contributions to the development of sports in Nigeria and Southeast in particular.

Anosike, a lawyer, has been involved with the game of cricket for almost five decades. He started his foray into cricket as a schoolboy in King’s College,Lagos and later at the University level where he was a key member of the Unilag team that famously defeated the University of Ife team at NUGA 1984.

Also nominated from Anambra was Ngozika Ekwelum, a Veteran pugilist. He is a former African Boxing Federation Heavyweight Champion and a former Head Coach of the state boxing team.
