* The member representing Aguata Constituency Two in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Tony Muobike has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his exceptional leadership style and commitment towards re-establishing peace and unity in various communities across the State. Speaking at Umuona during a new yam festival, Muobike emphasized the governor’s resolute promise to usher in a prosperous era for Anambra, as outlined in his visionary agenda and praised him for exemplifying quality leadership, which has played a pivotal role in fostering an atmosphere of tranquility and harmony throughout the State.

* The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) has launched an appeal to Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, seeking a 10 per cent allocation of the state’s subsidy palliatives to the disabilities community in the state. Soludo recently unveiled measures his government would adopt in the disbursement of the fuel subsidy palliatives to cushion the effect of petrol subsidy removal on the residents of the state.

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has inspected the popular bank road Nnewi to ascertain the state of the road and promised to reconstruct it. The Governor said that the road is strategic to his efforts to give Nnewi a facelift in line with the livable and prosperous Anambra agenda. Soludo assured that the road will be done with pedestrian walkway on both sides as it is in other developed cities of the world.

* The National Coordinator of All Progressives Grand Alliance ( APGA), Chinedu Obigwe, has cautioned detractors to stop portraying revenue agents in the state in bad light just to tarnish the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
Obigwe said this in a statement while reacting to a viral video purporting that some state’s revenue officers in the state manhandled a man in Onitsha in a gestapo manner.

* Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has promised to install Closed-Circuit Television CCTV cameras in the Onitsha market, particularly the Upper-weka axes of the market, ahead of the upcoming 2023 Christmas and New Year celebrations. He said the project is part of his administration’s agenda to reposition Onitsha markets to meet up with world standards.

* Anambra State Government will commence an immediate intervention and remedial measures on the gully erosion site on Nnobi axis of Nnobi-Nkpor Federal Highway. Governor Chukwuma Soludo made the promise when he visited the erosion site for an on-the-spot assessment. While describing Anambra state as the erosion capital of the world, Governor Soludo called on the federal government and development partners to come to the aid of the state as spiraling erosion menace is beyond the capacity of the state government.

* The TC Chairman of Oyi Local Government Hon Emmanuel Nweke has flagged off in-house training for workers of the council area. The training which Hon Nweke tagged “Discipline and productivity” is aimed at taking the workers of the council area the rudiments of their work.

* Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has officially launched the provision of antenatal and delivery services free of cost in all government-owned hospitals and health centers. Soludo who launched the initiative at General Hospital, Nnobi as part of efforts to cushion the effects of the petrol subsidy removal, stressed that the programme will run for as long as he is the Governor. The Governor said that in line with the APGA mantra of “Be Your Brother’s Keeper”, his administration is prioritizing the health of pregnant mothers, urging them not to abuse it.

* The  Steering Committee of Ofala Festival, an annual festival celebrated by the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, has said the festival has put the town into international lime light and earned revenue for the the town and the country. This year’s Ofala will be held  at Ime Obi Onitsha and will span two days – Iru Ofala on Saturday, October 14 and the Azu Ofala on Sunday, October 15.

* The Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, Hon. ThankGod Anago has handed over security gadgets and motorcycles to Ugbene Community to improve the security of the area. Anago while commending an Indigene of the community, Chief Fidelis Nweke, for donating the gadgets, charged the security men to collaborate Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s efforts in tackling insecurity and returning peace to every part of Anambra State.

* The National Water Resource Capacity Building Network, South-East Center, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, has organized a sensitization meeting. ANN gathered that key stakeholders such Including the Anambra, Imo, Enugu, and Abia state Commissioners for Water Resources, governmental bodies, NGO’s, and the academia, converged to discuss pressing issues related to water resources.
