Trump Doubts ‘Heaven Bound’ Status Despite Ceasefire Peace Deals

President Says He’s ‘Being a Little Cute’ But Claims Success in Making Life Better for Many.

President Donald Trump cast doubt on his spiritual future while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One Saturday, following a question about whether a recent U.S.-brokered ceasefire agreement in Gaza would help him reach heaven.

Responding to a reporter who referenced the President’s previous comments about ending the Ukraine-Russia war possibly securing his spot at the “pearly gates,” Trump adopted a more self-deprecating tone.

”I mean, I’m being a little cute,” Trump said. He then added, “I don’t think there’s anything going to get me in heaven. I think I’m not maybe heaven-bound… I’m not sure I’m going to be able to make heaven, but I’ve made life a lot better for a lot of people.”

The exchange occurred as the President was traveling to Israel following the announcement of the ceasefire agreement between Israeli and Palestinian forces.

The President’s comments on the matter echo a similar statement made in August, when he discussed his efforts to mediate peace between Ukraine and Russia. At that time, Trump had said: “I want to try and get to heaven, if possible. I’m hearing I’m not doing well. I am really at the bottom of the totem pole. But if I can get to heaven, this will be one of the reasons.”

In the same session with reporters, the President also repeated his false claim that the 2020 election was rigged and asserted that the Ukraine-Russia war would not have occurred had he been in office.
