The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has congratulated Amb. Bianca Ojukwu on her appointment as new Minister of Foreign Affairs by President Bola Tinubu, describing the appointment as deserving and expected.
In his goodwill message signed by Mr Emma Madu, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Udeze expressed confidence that in view her training, skills and experience in political and public affairs, Amb. Ojukwu will function optimally as Minister of Foreign Affairs with every sense of commitment and zeal.
The Speaker who recollected her tenure as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain as well as the good image her impressive service attracted to Nigeria, commended President Tinubu for putting a round peg in a round hole by appointing Amb. Ojukwu to head Nigeria’s foreign policy architecture and global partnership as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Rt. Hon. Udeze maintained that Amb. Ojukwu who previously served as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs before her election has continued to do Anambra State and APGA government under the able leadership of Governor Chukwuma Soludo proud through her willingness to render quality service to the country.
The Speaker enjoined well meaning citizens to give the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, the necessary support to enable her excel in her new portfolio as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
