The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has said that nature has been so kind to the traditional ruler of Nnewi, Igwe Kenneth Orizu (3rd) as he is today, the Longest-Serving Oldest Living Monarch in history, after the death of Queen Elizabeth (2nd) of England.
Felicitating Igwe Kenneth Orizu on behalf of the State Legislature as he marks his 99th birthday, in a release signed by Mr Emma Madu, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Udeze described him as the most revered traditional ruler across the globe whose memory, visual organ and physical state are still intact.
The Speaker extolled Igwe Orizu for doing Anambra State proud in many ways, and for his fatherly contributions towards the peace, growth and development of the State as well as the Igbo nation and Nigeria at large.
Rt. Hon. Udeze called on the federal government to immortalize Igwe Kenneth Orizu of Nnewi by naming an outstanding Public Institution after him as a mark of honour, as he remains the pride of the traditional institution in the country.
He prayed God to continue to bless Igwe Orizu with long life and good health to enable him continue to discharge his monarchical duties.
