Anambra House of Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze on Wednesday inspected road projects at the seven local government areas in the South Senatorial Zone of the state.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the roads inspected includes Ajali-Akpu-Nawfija-Ufuma-Ogbunka (16.4 km) road handled by Datum construction in Orumba North.
In Aguta constituency the Speaker inspected Enugu-Umuonyia (12.5 km), Ogboji, Achina, Agbudu roads, (7.8km), Ekwulobia flyover, Ezinaifite (1.5km) roads which are constructed by Benejaf International limited and Ajali, Anini river, Umueji-Ufuma, Ozzi river linkinging orumber north and south constituencies.
Rt. Hon. Udeze also inspected Achina-Onneh-Ogboji road constructed by Infrastructure Development Company and also Ezira-Umuomaku-Enugu Umuonyia-Achina road handled by Tamad construction limited including Okpunoeze-Nnewi Hotel road.
The contractors assured that they will meet up to deadline as stipulated in the contract.
Anambra Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze while speaking in an interview after the inspection said the essence of this projects is to open opportunities and development in the state.
” From what i saw today, all the contractors are on sight and doing the work to the standard expected.
“Am impressed and i encouraged them to continue and they assured that by the end of May, they will finish the job and hand over them over to the state government.
” Ndi Anambra needs to see what Mr. Governor is doing and we are in a hurry to deliver the promise. Currently, work is going on across the 21 LGA of the state.
“In two years, Governor Soludo has performed well. Ndi Anambra deserve the best and the Governor is given the best. The 8th assembly will continue to make laws that will strengthen the desires of the Governor.
other lawmakers who visited the projects with Rt. Hon. Udeze were Hon. Tony mobuike (Aguata two) Hon. Anayo Okpalaeke (Aguata one), Chief Whip Hon. Jude Ngobili (Ihiala one), Hon. Augustine Ike (Nnewi North), Hon Nonso Atuchukwu (Nnewi South one), Hon. Justice Azuka (Onitsha North One), Minority Whip Hon. Paul Chukwuka Obu (Orumber North) and Hon. Ebuka Igwe (Idemili South).
The lawmakerd in their seperate interview commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the giant strides recorded in two years of his administration.
