UEL: Barça draw 2-2 against Man United as Raphinha’s cross saves host, Rashford keeps scoring

There is still a lot to play for as Manchester United forced their hosts FC Barcelona to a 2-2 draw in their UEFA Europa League playoff round first-leg clash which went down at the Spotify Camp Nou Stadium on Thursday night.

An entertaining opening 45 minutes failed to produce a goal, though the Catalans were dealt a huge blow as talented youngster Pedri was forced off due to injury.

The second half saw the floodgates of goals open, with Spanish full-back Marcos Alonso heading Barca ahead but they were pegged back when the in-form Marcus Rashford scored his 11th goal of the year to level the tie.

Soon afterwards, the Red Devils took the lead when Jules Kounde scored an own goal before Brazilian attacker Raphinha ensured a share of the spoils as his cross went in unhindered.

Surely, the tie is finely poised ahead of the return leg at Old Trafford, with the winner earning the right to play in the round of 16 stages of the competition
