Minister of Works David Umahi has signed the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid, describing it as a “victory form” that signals continuity and consolidation of ongoing national development.
Umahi, in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze, on Tuesday, said the signing represents a defining moment for Nigeria’s progress.
He described the form as “a collective commitment to continuity, stability, and the consolidation of gains recorded under the current administration.”
The minister highlighted infrastructure reforms, particularly in road construction and rehabilitation, as key achievements of Tinubu’s leadership that must be sustained.
“Ongoing projects across the country are part of the administration’s resolve to deliver tangible results,” Umahi said, adding that the progress made so far provides “a strong foundation for sustained national transformation.”
He expressed confidence that President Tinubu is “well positioned to complete ongoing initiatives and further deepen development across all sectors.”
Umahi stressed that “consistent leadership is essential to achieving long-term national goals,” urging continued public support for the administration.
The nomination form, valued at ₦100 million, was obtained on behalf of President Tinubu by Rep. James Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency and serves as founder of the Tinubu Support Groups. The process was formally opened by APC National Organising Secretary Suleiman Argungu.
The development marks the official commencement of Tinubu’s re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 presidential election scheduled for January 16, 2027 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
