Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, at the 242nd meeting of the Senate held on the Wednesday, 25th February, 2026 at the Zephaniah Madubuko Auditorium, Faculty of Social Sciences, elected Professor Alex Chinwuba Asigbo, of the Department of Theatre Arts and Film Studies, as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic)
At the meeting, Professor Hilda Ewosiida Osisioma, of the Department of Business Administration, was elected Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration)
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that
hitherto, Prof. Osisioma was the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (coordinating) for a period of three months.
Prof. Alex Asigbo is the current Director of UNIZIK Commercial Ventures and former Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
