Use ASHIA To Celebrate Christmas For Ndi Anambra : Onyaemachi Urges Philanthropists

The Managing Director (MD) of Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Simeon Onyaemachi has encouraged philanthropist to not only share food items to people but also organise medical outreach.

Speaking to Angel Network News (ANN) in Awka, the CEO of maintained that those who are in hospital do not know the value of the food items been distributed.

“Health is wealth and i commend Governor Chukwuma Soludo for making health insurance affordable in Anambra State.

” Our benefit package is twelve thousand naira (12,000). Governor Soludo has subsidized ASHIA by making it avoidable to ndi Anambra.

” However, there are prople who cannot pay our twelve thousand naira (12,000) premium and this is where philanthropists can assist.

” Since 2018 when ASHIA premium was set-up as 12,000, there is no other commodity in Nigeria that the cost has remained the same, but ASHIA has remained consistent at 12,000 with expended benefit package. This is because the Governor has intentionally subsidized it.

” As you plan to give bags of rice, the money of one bag rice can register four persons in ASHIA. This will help them access cheap health care instead of patronizing quarks which leads to kidney damage and liver failure.

” Those who are properly trained to know the act of drugs (Professionals) are in the hospitals. We cannot have ASHIA in this state and people are still going to buy on their own, in places where they shouldn’t go to.

” I change ndi Anambra, in this season, we want to see more medical outreach.

“Over three hundred and four thousand ndi Anambra are actively registered in our scheme. We want more people to come in.

“Pay for one person. Adopt any onye Anambra or family members, use ASHIA to celebrate Christmas for them.

” If you do that, we will land in your community, to register them in our scheme”. Onyaemachi stated.
