Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has accused Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of involvement in electoral malpractice, citing a video he says captures her during a 2023 voting exercise.
In a video shared online, Otse claimed the footage showed the senator representing Kogi Central participating in the manipulation of votes during the contest for the Kogi senatorial seat.
“Senator Natasha, that was you in 2023 caught on camera in a voter rigging exercise of the Kogi Senate seat. That was you,” Otse said. “See how you are sharing the vote. Dash them 50. We have gotten 90. Dash them 50. You are not different from them. You are not. You are exactly who they are.”
He argued that the senator’s actions mirrored those of other politicians she has criticised. “Just the way you are giving directions on this video, that is the same way you are strategising,” Otse added, linking the claim to wider public disputes involving the senator, himself and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The activist further alleged that Akpoti-Uduaghan maintains networks of bloggers and media strategists to shape public narratives, referring to previously circulated voice recordings. He maintained that such practices showed politicians on opposing sides operate similarly.
The election-rigging allegation remains attributed solely to Otse and has not been independently verified. As of the time of reporting, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan had not issued a public response to the latest claims.
