Vehicle Inspection Officers Trained On Road Safety, First Aid In Anambra

Vehicle Inspection Service of the Ministry of Transport, Anambra State, in collaboration with the Drivers Welfare Club of Nigeria, has held a training program for new intakes at the Head of Service Conference Hall, Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the training aims to ensure safety and welfare for public and private drivers, supporting the government’s efforts to reduce accidents and promote road safety.

National President of the Drivers Welfare Club, Comrade Monday Elimigbe, in his address, said the program will roll out across the country, starting with Anambra State.

In his lecture, the Accident Emergency Nurse, Mr. Ndive Vincent Chinedu, taught trainees life-saving techniques and first aid treatment for accident victims.

He emphasized the importance of patience and caution when handling victims to prevent further harm.

Also, the Head of Vehicle Inspection Service, Engr. Achuam MacDonald, urged trainees to be committed, time-conscious, and professional in their duties, maintaining integrity and dignity.

ANN gathered that the training covered best practices for sustaining accident victims before hospitalization.

It aims to enhance road safety and reduce accidents in Anambra State.
