The United Nations (UN) said on Saturday in a release that the planeload of supplies sent for Gaza by the World Health Organization (WHO) arrived at Egypt’s el-Arish airport.
The UN noted that among the supplies are basic essentials that should serve approximately 300,000 people, as well as trauma medicines and materials that should help 1,200 wounded. The international organization called for the Rafah crossing to be opened so that humanitarian aid could pass through.
“The critically injured, the sick and the vulnerable cannot wait,” the WHO insisted.
