I am surprised that some members of the Nigerian Senate are beginning to sing “Buhari Must Go!” Go to where if I may ask? All the while, the poor masses have been crying and lamenting the deplorable state of the nation’s insecurity, why were they silent? For years, insecurity has been the order of the day. People were killed and kidnapped in their homes, farmlands, on the roads while travelling, in churches, etc., why did it not occur to the Nigerian senator that Buhari must go?
Now that the insecurity has reached the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, where most of the senators use as their constituency, to which mansions would they run to and use as bases for pocketing monthly millions of naira allowances while ordinary Nigerians wallow in poverty and the nation’s debt runs higher than its revenue? They suddenly remembered that Buhari must go because there is fire on the mountain. Go to where, I ask again?
The truth is that things often do not concern us until they begin to affect us directly. Now the Senators are afraid that their safeties are no longer guaranteed even within Abuja where they thought they were invincible and they want to impeach Buhari. What a bunch of very selfish lawmakers! They had taught the terrorists would only continue to hunt, kill and abduct poor farmers, defenseless Christians, unprotected passengers who travel by roads and the poor masses. Now that the tune of the music is fast changing and the reality is beginning to stare them on their faces, they suddenly realized that Buhari must go! Can you see how selfish the Nigerian political class has been!
Look at how our nation is today. Is this how it should have been if the senators are objective right from the beginning? Most of them have contributed to destroying this country. It is a pity that the day of our beloved senators is just breaking at midnight. It is only God Almighty that will save this country from the dungeon into which the selfishness of the political class has plunged it. For the meantime, if Buhari must go, I think the Senators must go too because they collectively put us in this mess!
