Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, admitted that most of his career had been spent sleeping on aeroplanes.
The singer of Calm Down stated in his Instagram story on Sunday that he hadn’t taken a holiday since he launched his debut extended play in 2019.
Rema wrote, “So much sweat & blood I put in. The only place I sleep mostly is airplanes & It’s not often I get to see my family. I’ve never had a vacation since my first EP.
“Even the label knows that I’m a f**king hustler. They know that I don’t rest, they know that I’m a silent animal & they respect me.
“None of this is luck, I’ve been laying bricks for years and God’s grace has been seeing me through. Don’t be deceived, I’m not driven by the streams, I’m driven by the impact.
“And I am free, I pick my dates & drop what I want, can’t say the same for some.”
