2023: Azubogu Urges NUJ To Interrogate Candidates Ahead Of Election

The hardship currently witness is as a result of failure of leadership

All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Senatorial candidate for Anambra South distract Hon. Chris Emeka Azubogu has urge the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) Anambra state counsel to set up panel and interrogate candidates who are seeking for political offices in the next coming election.

Hon. Azubogu also called on NUJ to assist in sensitising voters so as to discourage vote buying and other vices.

Azubogu who is currently representing Nnewi North, South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency at the green chambers made these statement at the November Congress of NUJ Anambra state counsel at the Godwin Ezeemo international press center Awka.

“The good thing about leadership is that when there’s a political problem, men and women of who have the anticident and skill and mindset are those who shows the way and provides solution.

“I have stood up as one of those who is going to champion the new reform of leadership in Nigeria. The next president of Nigeria will be faced with alot of challenges and will need legislators who understands the situation of the country based on there compitence so as to advise and bring lasting solution.

“I will want to be counted amongst those who are going to do the needful in the upper chamber. As a house of representatives member, we have champion effective representation.

“There must be a synergy between the state government and those representing Anambra at the federal level because we need development and the devidend of democracy from the center.

“Having spend three terms at the house of representatives, I have acquired the needed skills that will make me one of the leaders (ranking member) of the national assembly.

“I am going to the senate to raise the bar. All those that have been representing us have done well, but there will be a clear difference if I go there because I take out time to study what am going there to do.

“I have taken time to study the national assembly, and the senate and there’s a whole lot of gaps because our future is important. I have the energy, passion for better service to our people and that is why am offering myself to go to the senate to serve not only Anambra state but Nigeria and I assure you all that am going to be a good ambassador.

“The hardship currently witness is as a result of failure of leadership. I will not exclude myself from it because it is a collective responsibility and we are looking at how best to face this challenge.

“I am a high ranking member and can get principle office and I have fundamental knowledge in governance. I am confident that the electorate will make there choice.
