* MD/CEO of ARTMA Engr. Emeka Okonkwo has met with representatives of the Anambra Keke riders in onitsha to discuss various mode of operation. Angel Network News recalled that recently, the keke riders complained about uncertainties about approved bus stops for them around the Owerri road and environs after the agency installed the ‘No loading – use the part’ signs for commercial vehicles who hitherto used the express lanes as parks. It was a peaceful deliberation as Okonkwo stated that the keke riders wont need bus stops considering the nature of their picking and dropping of passengers but must completely park by the shoulder of the road.

* Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has met landlords, business and property owners in Onitsha south local government secretariat and reiterated the commitment of his administration to sustain strategic investment in infrastructure to bolster productivity, energise business growth and protect private investments. Soludo who was represented by the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyekachi Ibezim highlighted the vision and plans of Anambra State Government in making the state liveable and prosperous homeland with clean, green, planned and sustainable environment.

* As part of efforts aimed at strengthening the All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Anambra East Local Government Area, Anambra State Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Mr Julius Chukwuemeka has met with the Councilors and APGA Ward chairmen in the Anambra East Local Government Area. The meeting held at the Commissioner’s country home Aguleri, was to form a synergy between the members of the Transition Committee and APGA ward Chairmen for optimal performance.

* The Member representing Oyi/Ayamelum federal constituency, Hon. Maureen Gwacham has empowered Nine Oyi women with a hundred thousand naira startup business package at Awkuzu ward 4 where she commissioned a water project as one of her cardinal objectives of making clean water accessible to her constituents. Speaking at the commissioning of the water project, Hon. Gwacham admonished the nine beneficiaries of the empowerment initiative to judiciously utilize the opportunity as it will be a continuum depending on the success of the first phase which solely depends on them.

* The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has described the Acting Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, (COOU) Professor Kate Omenugha as a renowned academic and reputable university administrator. Angel Network News reports that Udeze in his Goodwill Message to Omenugha on her birthday, on behalf of the State Legislature, lauded her achievements in her teaching career at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University,Awka where she distinguished herself among her contemporaries especially in Mass Communication department.

* The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA,Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has reaffirmed the party’s status as a national institution for democracy and progressive studies, where the tenets of democracy are not just abided by, but also passed on to the next generations. Ezeokenwa lauded INEC for its exemplary conduct during the 2023 General Election and applauded the commission for its diligent discharge of duties, as well as its amicable rapport with the party.

* The World Bank Consultants, representatives of Federal Government, Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) and the team from Anambra State Ministry of Works have visited Anaocha Local Government Area and inspected some of the farm roads mapped out for palliative works. The TC Chairman of Anaocha LGA, Chief Hon Gerald Ikechukwu Ozoh with the Anaocha Councillors commended Mr Governor, Prof C.C.Soludo’s administration and the bodies  from the Federal Government of Nigeria that inspected the rural roads in Anaocha LGA.

* Anambra State House of Assembly has urge Governor Chukwuma Soludo to direct the Commissioner for Transport, Chairman of Anambra Urban Regenaration Council to ensure the full utilization of Ultra Modern Terminal Park Ogbaru for its specified purposes. The member representing Ogbaru one constituency Hon. Nobel Chukwunonso Igwe who sponsored the motion said the past government developed the terminal park at Upper Iweka for improved transport system so as to decongest road side motor parks.

* Soludo administration has rescued one Miss Tania Okpala, a United States based tennis champion who was found wandering along the streets of Awka and was captured in a viral video on social media by a good spirited individual.

Miss Okpala looked distressed and unstable in the said video, prompting the quick response by the Anambra State Government to rescue, rehabilitate, and reunite her with her family. The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare Mrs Ify Obinabo received the directive from Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his wife Nonye.
