Presenting her address, the program coordinator and former Head of Department (HOD) Entrepreneurship studies Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Clementina Agbionu noted that she was impressed with the way the Commissioner for Youth and Development has used Hero apprenticeship scheme to empower so many youths in the state.
* Arrangements have been concluded to stage the 2nd International Conference/Farmers Summit by the Faculty of Agriculture, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. The event with the theme “Digitalisation of Agriculture and Bio Conservation for Food Security” with eight sub themes has been scheduled to hold from Wednesday, 13th March to Thursday 14th March, 2024 at the University Auditorium, Awka.
According to the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Prof Cordelia Ebenebe, participants above 500 are expected in the conference from various Higher Institutions within and outside the country.
* Stakeholder in Anambra State, consisting of civil society groups, leaders of political parties, community leaders, media and women’s groups have called on Anambra State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo to quickly conduct local government election in the state. They made the call during a one day engagement convened by Africa Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Centre LSD), and Strengthening Transparency, Accountability in Governance and Electoral Process (STAGE), in collaboration with civil society groups.

* The Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Patrick Aghamba has emphasized that the One Youth Two Skills Programme is a perfect project to realize the one hundred and thirty thousand private sector jobs and one thousand youth millionaires annually as envisioned by Governor Chukwuma Soludo led administration.
Aghamba stated this in Awka while addressing the media on the targeted impact of the One Youth Two Skills Empowerment Programme.
According to Aghamba, the programme has expanded the skills from twenty-one as captured in pilot phase to forty-seven in the coming phase.
* Unknown persons has allegedly broke into the house of the President General of Umuoji community in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, Chief Silas Onyima, killing him. The community leader who is popularly known as. Chief Sly was later discovered in the pool of his own blood naked, inside a bathtub in his bathroom. Details of his murder has remained sketchy as of the time of filling this report, just as his killers have remained unknown. Police authorities in Anambra State confirmed the incident, saying the command was working with locals to identify the killers.
