Anambra State House of Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze on Wednesday inspected and concluded his road project tour.
The Speaker together with other members of the 8th assembly inspected road projects currently ongoing in Anambra North Senatorial zone.
Rt. Hon. Udeze during the inspection, urged contractors handling various road construction to speed up work so as to meet up with the deadline stipulated in the contracts.
Udeze while speaking during his road inspection tour in Anambra North Senatorial District on Wednesday stated that he is impressed at the quality of the roads.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the Speaker recently inspected road projects at Anambra South and Central Senatoral zones.
Speaking in an interview after the inspection, the Speaker said the essence of the inspection is to ascertain that the money the house of assembly approved for road infrastructure is used judiciously by the executive aim of government.
Rt. Hon. Udeze stated that what he saw and observed was amazing and that Anambra needs road and most of the roads projects requested by the communities have been touched by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
In his words “Governor Soludo is been creative in chosen roads that the people needs. He is touching the hearts of the people and the level of construction in this is encouraging.
“Anambra is working and if we continue this way, by the end of four years, more economic stability will be felt.
” I encourage Mr. Governor and ask him to keep doing the good works and ndi Anambra will surely say thank you to him when the time comes” Udeze said.
The lawmakers in their seperate interview commended the quality of the road projects.
“What we saw is very amazine. We have not gotten it better this way before. Governor Chukwuma Soludo is a very proactive and prodent person. He is doing very well for ndi Anambra and we pray that God will continue to give him the strength to do more.
” He has not borrowed a dime within this two years. He is very meticulous and we are proud of him.
” We are satisfied with the level of work ongoing in the state. Massive transformation and standard roads. Ndi Anambra has never had it this better before.
” This road projects are a big releave to the constituents. The Governor has done well. This roads will definitely enhence economic development in the state”.
Some of the roads inspected by the Speaker includes: Awkuzu-Umunya road with spur with Enugu-Onitsha Express way (6.614km), Anam-Nzam road, Idoko road ’33’ Onitsha, Umunnankwo-Ndi eke road, Ogbaru bridge amongst others.
The lawmakers who acompainied the speaker to the inspection were; Hon.

Fred Ezenwa (Onisha South one), Hon. Justice Azuka(Onitsha North one), Hon. Patrick Okafor (Onitsha North two) and Hon. Jude umenajiege (Onitsha South two).
