* The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Anambra State, Rt. Rev. Samuel Ezeofor has charged Nigeria Christians to exercise patience while serving God to fully receive his glory. Bishop Ezeofor gave the charge recently in his sermon during a week-long National Convention of the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion (EFAC) Nigeria, held at St John the Divine Church and the Federal Polytechnic Oko, in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The Prelate while speaking on the theme of the convention, “Show forth His glory.” charged Christian faithful to show love to one another without boundaries.
* The Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South LGA, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike has vowed to continue complementing Governor Chukwuma Soludo efforts at grassroot. Azubuike stated this during his visitation to Nkwo triangle traders and others selling along the road, stating that Soludo’s vision is to make the state a sustainable, greener, livable and prosperous homeland.
* Members of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi, Anambra State have appealed for an urgent and unconditional release of their colleague, Dr Ganiyat Popoola. The doctors held a solidarity walk around the Akammiri permanent site of the teaching hospital in Nnewi with visits to some wards and ended it with a prayer session at the main gate. They bore placards with inscriptions such as ‘’Free Ganiyat From Kidnappers’, ‘Save Ganiyat’, and ‘Help Save Ganiyat’ among others.
* Vice President of Nigeria Kashim Shettima and Governor Babagana Zulum,
has hailed Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, describing him as a leader of national significance, a figure whose impact extends beyond the borders of Anambra State and the South East region. Governor Zulum of Borno State who was the Chairman at the wedding of Adaora, daughter of Prof Chukwuma Soludo to Arinze Ibekwe in Abuja, spoke highly of Soludo, describing him as a man with a nationalist outlook, brilliant and intelligent. He added that his presence at the wedding, selected to chair the occasion, speaks volumes about Governor Soludo’s broad-mindedness and inclusive leadership.
* The former House of Representatives member, Hon. Dozie Nwankwo has hosted the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South local government area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi, her colleagues and Idemili south local government APGA Chairman, Chief Kizito Anoliefo at his residential home, Abuja.
The visit which was to appreciate Hon. Nwankwo for his commitment and contributions towards the progress of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Hon. Obi commended Hon. Nwankwo for his projects in Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha during his tenure in Green chapter, stating that Hon. Nwankwo remains the outstanding House of Representatives member in his federal Constituency.
* The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Anambra State Command has assured the Federal Road Safety Corps,FRSC of its support in road safety management across the state. The Anambra State NSCDC Commandant, Maku Olatunde stated this when he received a familiarization visit from the Anambra State FRSC, Sector Commander, Joyce Alexander at the state Command Headquarters Awka.
* The lawmaker representing Awka North/South, Prof. Oby Lilian Orogbu, has distributed fertilizer to farmers in her constituency. The lawmaker stated that the aim of this intervention is to boost agricultural yield and alleviate food scarcity. Anaocha LGA, Comrade Rome Ibekwe has meticulously masterminded the revival of the Anaocha Mass Transit system, poised to revolutionize transportation in the region. Ibekwe stated that the plan is to make public transportation affordable and accessible to all segments of the population.
