Shooting at Ifite, behind Unizik, Awka, and nearby Wintess Garden, Ifite Amansea Road on Thursday October 24 has left
several people dead.
According to source, at least seven persons were killed in the melee, with preliminary information suggesting that armed men began shooting sporadically, fatally hitting some individuals in the area.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed that a police responding team has taken over the scene.
Angel Network News (ANN) recall that on Sunday 20th October, many were killed in a festival in Nibo in the same Awka South Local Government Area of the state.
