Group Donates Security Gadgets To Vigilantes In Abagana

Orofia United In Diaspora (OUD) has donated a mini-bus, three motorcycles, torch light, walkie talkie, and cutlass to
uniforms to the vigilantes of the community.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
Orofia United In Diaspora are illustrious sons and daughters of Orofia village, Abagana who reside outside the country but have come together to bring development to their community.

In his speech, the member representing Njikoka two Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Jude Akpua PhD, said the group has responded to the clarion of Governor Chukwuma Soludo on well-to do individuals to embrace the Public Private Community Partnership, PPCP model of development to fast track even development of all communities.

Hon. Akpua who is also the Deputy Majority Leader, commended them for supporting Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s efforts in restoring peace and security to the state, emphasizing that they understood that security of life and property is not the job of government alone.

The President, Orofia United In Diaspora, Dr. Nduka Akaogu, in his remark, explained that their sole objective is to contribute towards the development of Orofia village in particular and Abagana at large through well designed supports to education, healthcare, civic and developmental projects.

On their part, the Chairman, Orofia Village Association, Dr Chike Ezejiegu, and the Director, Abagana Vigilante Services, Mr Jerry Onochie-Modebelu expressed the hopes that the gadgets will help make the work of securing the community better.

The event which also featured the inauguration of Reformed Orofia Security Network, held at Chime Hall Abagana, Njikoka Council Area.
