The local government Chairman of Njikoka, Barr Chinedu Ononiba, has commended Hon. Jude Akpua for the installation of solar-powered streetlights across communities in the in Constituency.

Hon. Ononiba gave the commendation during commissioning ceremony at Chime Hall, Orofia Village Abagana, describing the project as “a timely intervention that will enhance security, improve night-time, and promote community safety.”
According to the Mayor, the initiative reflects responsible and people-oriented representation.
“This project has not only illuminated our streets but has restored hope to residents who have long endured darkness and insecurity. I sincerely thank Hon. Jude Akpua for this thoughtful contribution to community development,” the Mayor said.
Residents of the benefiting ward, also expressed appreciation, noting that the solar lights will boost economic activities and reduced crime rates in the area.
In his response, Hon. Akpua who is the lawmaker representing Njikoka Two Constituency and the Deputy Majority Leader, Anambra State House of Assembly stated that the project was part of his commitment to improving infrastructure in the constituency.
“My focus remains on delivering meaningful and impactful projects that will improve the lives of my people. This is just one of many interventions we have lined up,” Akpua assured.
The legislator also called for continued cooperation between government officials and community leaders to attract more developmental projects to the constituency.
The event was attended by President General of Abagana Welfare Union, Chief Sir Linus Okunwa, community leaders, political appointees, youth representatives, and other stakeholders who hailed the initiative as a step toward modernization and grassroots development.
