Regina Daniels Denies Legal Union with Ned Nwoko in Bitter Public Feud

Nigerian actress Regina Daniels on Sunday publicly declared that her much-publicised relationship with politician Ned Nwoko was never a legal marriage, escalating a heated dispute over personal allegations and isolation tactics.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the 25-year-old star accused Nwoko, a Delta State lawmaker, of weaponising her admitted drug use to deflect from his efforts to cut her off from family and friends, leaving her vulnerable and confined.

“Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us?” Daniels wrote, dismissing the controversy as a smokescreen for deeper relational strife.

The outburst follows weeks of escalating tensions, with Daniels alleging Nwoko seized her phones for extended periods to block communication and even orchestrated arrests of her close relatives to force reconciliation.

“The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media, something dramatic enough to distract everyone from the real issue!” she charged in the post.

Daniels, known for roles in Nollywood films and her high-profile romance with the 63-year-old Nwoko since 2019, claimed their troubles ignited when she sought to end the partnership.

“Every problem we have had started when I no longer wanted you, whether sober or even high. Tell people the truth,” she urged, portraying herself as isolated in a room and branded “mentally unstable” for voicing her desire to leave.

Nwoko has yet to respond directly to the latest claims, though he previously highlighted Daniels’ substance issues in media statements amid the couple’s separation.

The saga has captivated Nigerian social media, blending celebrity gossip with serious accusations of control and emotional manipulation in one of the country’s most-watched unions.
