The Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Hon. Rome Ibekwe says his administration has provided twenty (20) new solar-powered boreholes in the ten (10) communities in the LGA.
Hon. Ibekwe stated this while commissioning another 20,000 litre water storage capacity solar powered borehole built by local government council at Nkwo, Adazi-Enu community.
According to Ibekwe, provision of portable water in the local government area is critical to solving the most basic needs of the people of area and said the water will be reticulated to different points in the community and the health to make sure they serve the community members better.
The local government boss said he is passionate about realizing the vision for a greater Anaocha and that he will continue to tow the footsteps of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to give Ndi Anaocha a livable and prosperous homeland.
In his speech the Leader of the Congress of Councilors of the government area, Hon. Ephraim Ononenyi who also represents Adazi-Enu Ward one, praised Honourable Ibekwe for his determination to extend the dividends of democracy to all the nooks and crannies of the council area and pleaded for the construction of pubic toilets in Nkwo Adazi-Enu, and erection of bumps at Akwaeze-Adazi-Enu road.
In there separate speeches the President General of the community, Chief Emmanuel Ejidike, the Women Leader, Mrs Cecilia Okpalaobiaku and Councillor representing Adazi Enu Ward 2, Hon. Nnabuike Ezenwugo appreciated Ibekwe for the project and said that since he came onboard the local government has witnessed total transformation and infrastructural development.
