Nigeria’s women’s national basketball team, D’Tigress, secured an emphatic 101–84 victory over the Philippines on Saturday, delivering a commanding performance highlighted by balanced scoring and strong rebounding.
The game, which concluded with Nigeria comfortably ahead, saw multiple players contribute across key statistics, underlining the team’s depth and attacking efficiency.
According to the official box score, center Victoria Macaulay led the scoring with 16 points, adding six rebounds and five assists in 21 minutes of play. Forward Nneka Enabosi followed closely with 15 points and 12 rebounds, registering a double-double in just 18 minutes.
Guard Elizabeth Balogun also played a key role, contributing 14 points, while Ezinne Kalu added 13 points and seven assists, helping orchestrate Nigeria’s offensive rhythm throughout the contest.
Forward Murjanatu Musa delivered another strong performance with 10 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists, showcasing her all-around impact on both ends of the court.
Other notable contributions came from Promise Kunaiyi-Akpanah, who recorded 10 points and nine rebounds, and Ifunanya Okoro, who chipped in nine points and four assists.
The statistics released in the game’s official box score highlighted Nigeria’s ability to spread scoring across the roster while dominating the boards and maintaining steady ball movement.
